it was attached<MH2266> at its two<MH8147> <i>upper</i> ends<MH7117>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>And the skillfully<MH2805> woven<MH2805> band<MH2805> of its overlay<MH642> which<MH834> was on it was like its workmanship<MH4639>, <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>of the same<MH4480> material: of gold<MH2091> <i>and</i> of violet<MH8504>, purple<MH713>, and scarlet<MH8144> <i>material,</i> and fine<MH8336> twisted<MH7806> linen<MH8336>, just<MH3512c> as<MH3512c> the LORD<MH3068> had commanded<MH6680> Moses<MH4872>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>They also made<MH6213a> the onyx<MH7718> stones<MH68>, set<MH5437> in gold<MH2091> filigree<MH4865> <i>settings;</i> they were engraved<MH6605b> <i>like</i> the engravings<MH6603> of a signet<MH2368>, according<MH5921> to the names<MH8034> of the sons<MH1121> of Israel<MH3478>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>And he placed<MH7760> them on the shoulder<MH3802> pieces of the ephod<MH646> <i>as</i> memorial<MH2146> stones<MH68> for the sons<MH1121> of Israel<MH3478>, just<MH3512c> as<MH3512c> the LORD<MH3068> had commanded<MH6680> Moses<MH4872>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>And he made<MH6213a> the breastpiece<MH2833>, the work<MH4639> of a skilled<MH2803> embroiderer<MH2803>, like the workmanship<MH4639> of the ephod<MH646>: of gold<MH2091> <i>and</i> of violet<MH8504>, purple<MH713>, and scarlet<MH8144> <i>material</i> and fine<MH8336> twisted<MH7806> linen<MH8336>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>It was square<MH7251>; they made<MH6213a> the breastpiece<MH2833> folded<MH3717> double<MH3717>, a <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>span<MH2239> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>long<MH753> and a span<MH2239> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>wide<MH7341> when folded<MH3717> double<MH3717>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>And they <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>mounted<MH4390> four<MH702> rows<MH2905> of stones<MH68> on it. The first<MH259> row<MH2905> <i>was</i> a row<MH2905> of ruby<MH124>, topaz<MH6357>, and emerald<MH1304a>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>and the second<MH8145> row<MH2905>, a turquoise<MH5306>, a sapphire<MH5601>, and a diamond<MH3095>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>and the third<MH7992> row<MH2905>, a jacinth<MH3958>, an agate<MH7618>, and an amethyst<MH306>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>and the fourth<MH7243> row<MH2905>, a beryl<MH8658>, an onyx<MH7718>, and a jasper<MH3471>. They were set<MH5437> in gold<MH2091> filigree<MH4865> <i>settings</i> when they were <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>mounted<MH4396>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>The stones<MH68> corresponded<MH5921> to the names<MH8034> of the sons<MH1121> of Israel<MH3478>; they were twelve<MH8147, 6240>, corresponding<MH5921> to their names<MH8034>, <i>engraved with</i> the engravings<MH6603> of a signet<MH2368>, each<MH376> with its name<MH8034> for the twelve<MH8147, 6240> tribes<MH7626>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>And they made<MH6213a> for the breastpiece<MH2833> chains<MH8333> like cords<MH5688>, work<MH4639> of twisted<MH1383> cords<MH5688> of pure<MH2889> gold<MH2091>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>They made<MH6213a> two<MH8147> gold<MH2091> filigree<MH4865> <i>settings</i> and two<MH8147> gold<MH2091> rings<MH2885>, and put<MH5414> the two<MH8147> rings<MH2885> on the two<MH8147> ends<MH7098> of the breastpiece<MH2833>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>Then they put<MH5414> the two<MH8147> gold<MH2091> cords<MH5688> in the two<MH8147> rings<MH2885> at the ends<MH7098> of the breastpiece<MH2833>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>And they put<MH5414> the <i>other</i> two<MH8147> ends<MH7098> of the two<MH8147> cords<MH5688> on the two<MH8147> filigree<MH4865> <i>settings,</i> and put<MH5414> them on the shoulder<MH3802> pieces of the ephod<MH646> at the front<MH6440> of it. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>They made<MH6213a> two<MH8147> gold<MH2091> rings<MH2885> and placed<MH7760> <i>them</i> on the two<MH8147> ends<MH7098> of the breastpiece<MH2833>, on its inner<MH1004> edge<MH8193> which<MH834> was next<MH413, 5676> to the ephod<MH646>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>Furthermore, they made<MH6213a> two<MH8147> gold<MH2091> rings<MH2885> and placed<MH5414> them on the bottom<MH4295> of the two<MH8147> shoulder<MH3802> pieces of the ephod<MH646>, on the front<MH6440> of it, close<MH5980> to the place<MH4225> where<MH4225> it joined<MH4225>, above<MH4480, 4605> the woven<MH2805> band<MH2805> of the ephod<MH646>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>And they bound<MH7405> the breastpiece<MH2833> by its rings<MH2885> to the rings<MH2885> of the ephod<MH646> with a violet<MH8504> cord<MH6616>, so that it would be on the woven<MH2805> band<MH2805> of the ephod<MH646>, and that the breastpiece<MH2833> would not come<MH2118> loose<MH2118> from the ephod<MH646>, just<MH3512c> as<MH3512c> the LORD<MH3068> had commanded<MH6680> Moses<MH4872>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>Then he made<MH6213a> the robe<MH4598> of the ephod<MH646> of woven<MH707> work<MH4639>, all<MH3632> of violet<MH8504>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>and the opening<MH6310> of the robe<MH4598> was <i>at the top</i> in the center<MH8432>, as the opening<MH6310> of a coat<MH8473> of<MH8473> mail<MH8473>, with a binding<MH8193> all<MH5439> around<MH5439> its opening<MH6310>, so that it would not be torn<MH7167>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>And they made<MH6213a> pomegranates<MH7416> of violet<MH8504>, purple<MH713>, and scarlet<MH8144> <i>material and</i> twisted<MH7806> <i>linen</i> on the hem<MH7757> of the robe<MH4598>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span>They also made<MH6213a> bells<MH6472> of pure<MH2889> gold<MH2091>, and put<MH5414> the bells<MH6472> between<MH8432> the pomegranates<MH7416> all<MH5439> around<MH5439> on the hem<MH7757> of the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[k]</a></span>robe<MH4598>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span><span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[l]</a></span>alternating a bell<MH6472> and a pomegranate<MH7416> all<MH5439> around<MH5439> on the hem<MH7757> of the robe<MH4598> for the service<MH8334>, just<MH3512c> as<MH3512c> the LORD<MH3068> had commanded<MH6680> Moses<MH4872>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span>They also made<MH6213a> the tunics<MH3801> of finely<MH8336> woven<MH707> linen<MH8336> for Aaron<MH175> and his sons<MH1121>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span>and the turban<MH4701> of fine<MH8336> linen<MH8336>, and the decorated<MH6287b> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[m]</a></span>caps<MH4021> of fine<MH8336> linen<MH8336>, and the linen<MH906> undergarments<MH4370> of fine<MH8336> twisted<MH7806> linen<MH8336>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span>and the sash<MH73> of fine<MH8336> twisted<MH7806> linen<MH8336>, and violet<MH8504>, purple<MH713>, and scarlet<MH8144> <i>material,</i> the work<MH4639> of the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[n]</a></span>weaver<MH7551>, just<MH3512c> as<MH3512c> the LORD<MH3068> had commanded<MH6680> Moses<MH4872>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span>They also made<MH6213a> the plate<MH6731b> of the holy<MH6944> crown<MH5145> of pure<MH2889> gold<MH2091>, and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[o]</a></span>inscribed<MH3789> it like the engravings<MH6603> of a signet<MH2368>, “Holy<MH6944> to the LORD<MH3068>.” <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span>Then they <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[p]</a></span>fastened<MH5414> a violet<MH8504> cord<MH6616> to it, to <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[q]</a></span>fasten<MH5414> it on the turban<MH4701> above<MH4480, 4605>, just<MH3512c> as<MH3512c> the LORD<MH3068> had commanded<MH6680> Moses<MH4872>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/39-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span>So all<MH3605> the work<MH5656> of the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[r]</a></span>tabernacle<MH4908> of the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150> was completed<MH3615>;
