Access to electronic resources is limited to registered law students due to licensing restrictions. Only persons with valid library cards may borrow material. Patrons without valid library cards who wish to read short-term loan (Course Reserves) material within the library must leave valid I.D. with the circulation desk when they borrow this material from behind the circulation desk. The I.D. will be returned when the material is returned to the desk.</p><h3>Library hours</h3><p>Check out our location and library hours on our <a href="https://library.law.utoronto.ca/library-hours-and-location" target="_blank">Hours and Location</a> web page.</p><h3>Library cards for the public</h3><p>Members of the public may apply at Robarts Library (130 St. George St.) to obtain a <a href="https://onesearch.library.utoronto.ca/external-researchers">Research Reader</a> card, good at most campus libraries, including the Bora Laskin Law Library. The cost of the Research Reader card varies depending on its term/duration. <br><br>Please note: Not all materials at the Bora Laskin Law Library circulate (case law reporters and journals, for example, are in-library use only). You will need a USB key to save your scans.&nbsp;You can purchase a guest print/copy card at Robarts Library and the Gerstein Science Information Centre.&nbsp;Load your card with TBucks for printing and photocopying at a Guest Card &amp; Cash Loading Station at Robarts Library or the Gerstein Science Information Centre. Once you have purchased the card, you can add value to it <a href="https://tcardplus.utoronto.ca/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #0066cc;">online</span></a>&nbsp;or at&nbsp;any Guest Card &amp; Cash Loading Station.</p><h3>Where do I get reference and research help?</h3><p>Email <a href="mailto:law.ref@utoronto.ca">law.ref@utoronto.ca</a>. We provide basic reference help of up to 10 minutes to members of the public if we are not too busy. <br><br>Use the online <a href="http://search.library.utoronto.ca/index#advanced_search">U of T catalogue</a> to look for books in our library. There is no separate catalogue for just the Bora Laskin Law Library; the catalogue shows the listings of all campus libraries. To locate books held by our library, select the advanced search option and choose "Law Library (Bora Laskin)" from the drop down menu below the search box. If the Bora Laskin Law Library does not have the item, you may want to check the York University Library Catalogue (4700 Keele St.) or the Great Library Catalogue (130 Queens St. E., Osgoode Subway station) to see if either of those libraries has it.
