execute actions and activities, including the authority to act, commit resources, and execute agreements and other documents that are legally binding to the University.</p> <p>Please note the list of Background</strong></p> </div> <div aria-hidden="true" class="content-text" role="region" tabindex="-1"> <p>The University is governed by The Regents, which under <u>Article IX, Section 9</u> of the California Constitution has "full powers of organization and governance" subject only to very specific areas of legislative control. The President of the University is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Board, and exercises authority delegated by the Board pursuant to Bylaw 22.1.
