We also detail access to facilities utilised by NARG and provide an image gallery of photographs from fieldwork.</h4> <h4>Sponsors can access further information in the restricted <span style="font-size: 1em;"><a title="Sponsors' area" href="/research/sponsors-area/">Sponsors' area</a>. </span></h4> <p>The research group has access to leading research facilities in the collaborating universities, with particular focus on 3D Seismic Interpretation (Manchester) Apatite Fission Analysis (Bremen), Petroleum Engineering laboratories (Heriot-Watt).</p> <p>NARG has considerable field geology experience, having undertaken extensive campaigns in Morocco, Libya, Egypt and Algeria. We have an outcrop Gamma Ray logging tool, GPS mapping and the latest digital outcrop LiDAR hardware to allow rapid data capture in the field, in addition to conventional mapping and field logging. These tools allow us to create a virtual outcrop in the office, populated with sedimentological and petrological data for further analysis and data warehousing.
