It will have to change over to diesel power in York for the run thereon through to Manchester; although, as of April 2021, electrification is currently being extended from Colton Junction to Church Fenton. The end nearest the entrance is ramped to ground level to possibly allow vehicles to run along it for loading and unloading operations.
