Vor 11 Jahren waren wir zufällig über die <em>Mille Milia</em> gestolpert. Dieses Mal war es die kleine Schwester – die <em>Gran Premio Nuvolari</em>. Wir stellten fest, der Zieleinlauf in Mantua am nächsten Tag liegt ganz in der Nähe der Konfluenz. Und auch in Mantua gibt es Weltkulturerbe zu bestaunen. Wenn das kein Zeichen ist. </p> <p> Wir verließen die Schnellstraße bei Pegognaga. Eine schnurgerade Straße führt ostwärts bis wir kurz vor Quistello auf einer Damm-Strasse landen. Eine Brücke bringt uns über den Po-Zufluss Secchia. Wir durchqueren den Ort und biegen in das Industrieviertel Basaglie ab. Am Samstag ist hier nichts los. Nach einem großen U-Bogen erreichen wir pünktlich zum Sonnenuntergang die Konfluenz. Auf einem, zwischen Industriebauten und Bahnschienen eingeklemmtem Feld hatten wir einen schnellen 0-Besuch erwartet. Doch die Realität ist meist nicht auf Karten abgebildet: Der Graben und das Brombeergestrüpp fehlten in der Kalkulation. Mit den obligatorischen Flipp-Flops ausgerüstet und im &bdquo;guten“ Rock bekleidet hangelten wir uns am Zaun des Industriekomplexes entlang und stampften uns dabei einen Pfad aufs Mais-Feld frei. Die Ernte war zum Glück schon abgeschlossen. In 9 Minuten erreichten wir die Konfluenz. Und unsere Beine und Arme erreichten leider auch hunderte Moskitos beim Abendessen.</p> <p> Keine 3 km Luftlinie entfernt bescherte uns die Konfluenz einen der schönsten Übernachtungsplätze unserer Tour. Zelten auf dem Gutshof. This time it was the little sister - the Gran Premio Nuvolari. We discovered that the finish in Mantua the next day was very close to the confluence. And there is also World Heritage to marvel at Mantua. If that is not a sign.</p> <p> We left the motorway at Pegognaga. A dead straight road leads eastwards until we end up on a dam road just before Quistello. A bridge leads over the Po tributary Secchia. We cross the village and turn into the industrial area of Basaglie. On Saturday there is nothing going on here. After a big U-turn, we reach the confluence just in time for sunset. On a field squeezed between industrial buildings and railway tracks, we had expected a quick 0 visit. But the reality is mostly not shown on maps: The ditch and thorned srubs were missing from the calculation. Equiped with obligatory flip-flopps and wearing "good" skirts, we hooked along the fence of the industrial complex and stamped a path to the maize field. Fortunately, the harvest was already finished. Within 9 minutes, we reached the confluence. And our legs and arms unfortunately also were reached by hundreds of mosquitoes having dinner.</p> <p> Less than 3 km distance, the confluence lead us to one of the most beautiful places to spend the night on our whole tour. Camping at the manor.
