scheduling for relay nodes and user equipments under a Donor eNB (DeNB) in the mode of Time Division Duplex (TDD) in LTE-A is presented. The idea of virtual time is proposed to deal with the discontinuous pattern of the available radio resource in TDD, and based on the estimation of the traffic load, three power saving schemes in the top-down strategy are presented. Associated mechanisms in each scheme including calculation of the virtual subframe capacity, the algorithm of integrated sleep scheduling, and the mapping mechanisms for the backhaul link and the access link are presented in the paper. Simulation study shows the advantage of the proposed schemes in energy saving over the standard DRX scheme. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=LTE-A" title="LTE-A">LTE-A</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=relay" title=" relay"> relay</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=TDD" title=" TDD"> TDD</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=power%20saving" title=" power saving"> power saving</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/66886/integrated-power-saving-for-multiple-relays-and-ues-in-lte-tdd" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/66886.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">522</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1948</span> Dose Evaluations with SNAP/RADTRAD for Loss of Coolant Accidents in a BWR6 Nuclear Power Plant</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kai%20Chun%20Yang">Kai Chun Yang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shao-Wen%20Chen"> Shao-Wen Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jong-Rong%20Wang"> Jong-Rong Wang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chunkuan%20Shih"> Chunkuan Shih</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jung-Hua%20Yang"> Jung-Hua Yang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hsiung-Chih%20Chen"> Hsiung-Chih Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Wen-Sheng%20Hsu"> Wen-Sheng Hsu</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this study, we build RADionuclide Transport, Removal And Dose Estimation/Symbolic Nuclear Analysis Package (SNAP/RADTRAD) model of Kuosheng Nuclear Power Plant which is based on the Final Safety Evaluation Report (FSAR) and other data of Kuosheng Nuclear Power Plant. There are three main steps in this study. First, the UF6 data were collected. Second, one postulated case was analyzed by using the RASCAL and UF6 data. This postulated case assumes that fire occurring and UF6 is releasing from a building. Third, the results of RASCAL for HF mass were as the input data of ALOHA. Two postulated cases of HF were analyzed by using ALOHA code and the results of RASCAL. These postulated cases assume fire occurring and HF is releasing with no raining (Case 1) or raining (Case 2) condition. According to the analysis results of ALOHA, the HF concentration of Case 2 is smaller than Case 1. The results can be a reference for the preparing of emergency plans for the release of HF. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=RASCAL" title="RASCAL">RASCAL</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ALOHA" title=" ALOHA"> ALOHA</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=UF%E2%82%86" title=" UF₆"> UF₆</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hydrogen%20fluoride" title=" hydrogen fluoride"> hydrogen fluoride</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/98384/using-rascal-and-aloha-codes-to-establish-an-analysis-methodology-for-hydrogen-fluoride-evaluation" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/98384.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">763</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1946</span> The Study of Ultimate Response Guideline of Kuosheng BWR/6 Nuclear Power Plant Using TRACE and SNAP</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=J.%20R.%20Wang">J. Three cartridge heaters are collocated to heat three aluminum blocks in order to achieve PCR requirements in the reaction chamber. The effects of various chamber moving speeds among different temperature regions on the chamber temperature profiles are presented. To solve the evaporation effect of the sample in the PCR experiment, the mineral oil and the cover lid are used. The influences of various extension times on DNA amplification are also demonstrated. The target fragments of the amplification are 385-bp and 420-bp. The results show when the forward speed is set at 6 mm/s and the backward speed is 2.4 mm/s, the temperature required for the experiment can be achieved. In this article, using a three-dimensional statistical model, we simulate the distribution of the ignition probability of a new cathode spot occurring in different magnetic pressure on old cathode spot surface and at different arcing time. This model for the ignition probability of a new cathode spot was proposed in two typical situations, one by the pure isotropic random walk in the absence of an external magnetic field, other by the retrograde motion in external magnetic field, in parallel with the cathode surface. Balance ability is a crucial factor in hiking, effectively ensuring hiking safety and reducing the risk of injuries. If balance ability can be assessed simply and effectively, hikers can identify their weaknesses and conduct targeted training to improve their balance ability, thereby reducing injury risks. With the widespread use of smartphones and their built-in inertial sensors, this project aims to develop a simple Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) balance measurement technique based on smartphones. This will provide hikers with an easy-to-use, low-cost tool for assessing balance ability, monitoring training effects in real-time, and continuously tracking balance ability through uploading cloud data uploads, facilitating personal athletic performance. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=balance" title="balance">balance</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=IMU" title=" IMU"> IMU</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=smartphone" title=" smartphone"> smartphone</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=wearable%20devices" title=" wearable devices"> wearable devices</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/188349/using-inertial-measurement-unit-to-evaluate-the-balance-ability-of-hikers" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/188349.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">49</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1937</span> Digital Twin Platform for BDS-3 Satellite Navigation Using Digital Twin Intelligent Visualization Technology</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rundong%20Li">Rundong Li</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Peng%20Wu"> Peng Wu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Junfeng%20Zhang"> Junfeng Zhang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Zhipeng%20Ren"> Zhipeng Ren</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chen%20Yang"> Chen Yang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jiahui%20Gan"> Jiahui Gan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lu%20Feng"> Lu Feng</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Haibo%20Tong"> Haibo Tong</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Xuemei%20Xiao"> Xuemei Xiao</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yuying%20Chen"> Yuying Chen</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The research of Beidou-3 satellite navigation is on the rise, but in actual work, it is inevitable that satellite data is insecure, research and development is inefficient, and there is no ability to deal with failures in advance. Digital twin technology has obvious advantages in the simulation of life cycle models of aerospace satellite navigation products. In order to meet the increasing demand, this paper builds a Beidou-3 satellite navigation digital twin platform (BDSDTP). The basic establishment of BDSDTP was completed by establishing a digital twin double, Beidou-3 comprehensive digital twin design, predictive maintenance (PdM) mathematical model, and visual interaction design. Finally, this paper provides a time application case of the platform, which provides a reference for the application of BDSDTP in various fields of navigation and provides obvious help for extending the full cycle life of Beidou-3 satellite navigation. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=BDS-3" title="BDS-3">BDS-3</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=digital%20twin" title=" digital twin"> digital twin</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=visualization" title=" visualization"> visualization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=PdM" title=" PdM"> PdM</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/167908/digital-twin-platform-for-bds-3-satellite-navigation-using-digital-twin-intelligent-visualization-technology" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/167908.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">156</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1936</span> A Genetic Algorithm for the Load Balance of Parallel Computational Fluid Dynamics Computation with Multi-Block Structured Mesh</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chunye%20Gong">Chunye Gong</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ming%20Tie"> Ming Tie</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jie%20Liu"> Jie Liu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Weimin%20Bao"> Weimin Bao</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Xinbiao%20Gan"> Xinbiao Gan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shengguo%20Li"> Shengguo Li</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bo%20Yang"> Bo Yang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Xuguang%20Chen"> Xuguang Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tiaojie%20Xiao"> Tiaojie Xiao</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yang%20Sun"> Yang Sun</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Large-scale CFD simulation relies on high-performance parallel computing, and the load balance is the key role which affects the parallel efficiency. At a domestic wastewater treatment plant, we performed a pilot test of installing bioplates with entrapped biomass into a conventional aeration basin for SND, and investigated the effects of bioplate packing ratio, hydraulic retention time, dissolved oxygen level, on/off aeration mode, and supplemental carbon and alkalinity on nitrogen removal. With the pilot aeration basin of 1.3 m3 loaded with mixed liquor suspended solids of 1500-2500 mg/L and bioplates at PR of 3.2% (3.2% basin volume) operated at HRT of 6 h and DO of 4-6 mg/L without supplemental carbon or alkalinity, nitrogen in the wastewater was removed to an effluent total nitrogen (TN) of 7.3 mg/L from an influent TN of 28 mg/L. The bioplate robust cellulose triacetate structure carrying the biomass shows promise in retrofitting conventional aeration basins for enhanced nutrient removal. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=immobilization" title="immobilization">immobilization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=nitrification%2Fdenitrification" title=" nitrification/denitrification"> nitrification/denitrification</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=nutrient%20removal" title=" nutrient removal"> nutrient removal</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=total%20nitrogen" title=" total nitrogen"> total nitrogen</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/35051/simultaneous-nitrification-and-denitrification-in-suspended-activated-sludge-process-augmented-with-immobilized-biomass-a-pilot-study" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/35051.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">656</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1934</span> The High Quality Colored Wind Chimes by Anodization on Aluminum Alloy</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chia-Chih%20Wei">Chia-Chih Wei</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yun-Qi%20Li"> Yun-Qi Li</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ssu-Ying%20Chen"> Ssu-Ying Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hsuan-Jung%20Chen"> Hsuan-Jung Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hsi-Wen%20Yang"> Hsi-Wen Yang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chih-Yuan%20Chen"> Chih-Yuan Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chien-Chon%20Chen"> Chien-Chon Chen</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this paper we used high quality anodization technique to make colored wind chime with a nano-tube structure anodic film, which controls the length to diameter ratio of an aluminum rod and controls the oxide film structure on the surface of the aluminum rod by anodizing method. The research experiment used hard anodization to grow a controllable thickness of anodic film on aluminum alloy surface. By combining RL algorithms such as A2C, PPO, and SAC with traditional classifiers like Support Vector Machines (SVM), Decision Trees, and Logistic Regression, we investigate how different classifier groups can be integrated to improve risk-return trade-offs. The study evaluates the effectiveness of various ensemble methods, comparing them with individual RL models across key financial metrics, including Cumulative Returns, Sharpe Ratios (SR), Calmar Ratios, and Maximum Drawdown (MDD). Our results demonstrate that ensemble methods consistently outperform base models in terms of risk-adjusted returns, providing better management of drawdowns and overall stability. However, we identify the sensitivity of ensemble performance to the choice of variance threshold T, highlighting the importance of dynamic T adjustment to achieve optimal performance. This study emphasizes the value of combining RL with classifiers for adaptive decision-making, with implications for financial trading, robotics, and other dynamic environments. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=reinforcement%20learning" title="reinforcement learning">reinforcement learning</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=classifiers" title=" classifiers"> classifiers</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ensemble" title=" ensemble"> ensemble</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=trading%20strategies" title=" trading strategies"> trading strategies</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/198588/ensemble-rl-through-classifier-models-enhancing-risk-return-trade-offs-in-trading-strategies" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/198588.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">3</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1931</span> A Building Structure Health Monitoring DeviceBased on Cost Effective 1-Axis Accelerometers</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chih%20Hsing%20Lin">Chih Hsing Lin</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Wen-Ching%20Chen"> Wen-Ching Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ssu-Ying%20Chen"> Ssu-Ying Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chih-Chyau%20Yang"> Chih-Chyau Yang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chien-Ming%20Wu"> Chien-Ming Wu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chun-Ming%20Huang"> Chun-Ming Huang</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Critical structures such as buildings, bridges and dams require periodic inspections to ensure safe operation. The reliable inspection of structures can be achieved by combing temperature sensor and accelerometers. In this work, we propose a building structure health monitoring device (BSHMD) with using three 1-axis accelerometers, gateway, analog to digital converter (ADC), and data logger to monitoring the building structure. The proposed BSHMD achieves the features of low cost by using three 1-axis accelerometers with the data synchronization problem being solved, and easily installation and removal. Furthermore, we develop a packet acquisition program to receive the sensed data and then classify it based on time and date. Compared with 3-axis accelerometer, our proposed 1-axis accelerometers based device achieves 64.3% cost saving. Compared with previous structural monitoring device, the BSHMD achieves 89% area saving. Therefore, with using the proposed device, the realtime diagnosis system for building damage monitoring can be conducted effectively. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=building%20structure%20health%20monitoring" title="building structure health monitoring">building structure health monitoring</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cost%20effective" title=" cost effective"> cost effective</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=1-axis%20accelerometers" title=" 1-axis accelerometers"> 1-axis accelerometers</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=real-time%20diagnosis" title=" real-time diagnosis"> real-time diagnosis</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/54760/a-building-structure-health-monitoring-devicebased-on-cost-effective-1-axis-accelerometers" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/54760.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">380</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1930</span> MiR-200a/ZEB1 Pathway in Liver Fibrogenesis of Biliary Atresia</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hai-Ying%20Liu">Hai-Ying Liu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yi-Hao%20Chen"> Yi-Hao Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shu-Yin%20Pang"> Shu-Yin Pang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Feng-Hua%20Wang"> Feng-Hua Wang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Xiao-Fang%20Peng"> Xiao-Fang Peng</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Li-Yuan%20Yang"> Li-Yuan Yang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Zheng-Rong%20Chen"> Zheng-Rong Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yi%20Chen"> Yi Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bing%20Zhu"> Bing Zhu</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Objective: Biliary atresia (BA) is characterized by progressive liver fibrosis. Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) has been implicated as a key mechanism in the pathogenesis of organ fibrosis. MiR-200a has been shown to repress EMT. We aim to explore the role of miR-200a in the fibrogenesis of BA. Methods: We obtained the plasma samples and liver samples from patients with BA or controls to examine the role of miR-200a. Histological liver fibrosis was assessed using the Ishak fibrosis scores. Reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) was performed to detect the expression of miR-200a in plasma. We also evaluated the expression of miR-200a in liver tissues using tyramide signal amplification fluorescence in situ hybridization (TSA-FISH). The expression of EMT related proteins zinc finger E-box-binding homeobox 1 (ZEB1), E-cadherin and α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) in the liver sections were detected by immunohistochemical staining. Results: We found that the expression of miR-200a was both elevated in the plasma and liver tissues from BA patients compared with the controls. The hepatic expression of ZEB1 and α-SMA were markedly increased in the liver sections from BA patients compared to the controls, whereas E-cadherin was downregulated in the BA group. Simultaneously, we noted that the hepatic expression of miR-200a, E-cadherin and α-SMA were upregulated with the progression of liver fibrosis in the BA group, while ZEB1 was downregulated with the progression of liver fibrosis in BA patients. Conclusion: These findings suggest EMT has a critical effect on the fibrotic process of BA, and the interaction between miR-200a and ZEB1 may regulate EMT and eventually influence liver fibrogenesis of BA. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=biliary%20atresia" title="biliary atresia">biliary atresia</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=liver%20fibrosis" title=" liver fibrosis"> liver fibrosis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=MicroRNA" title=" MicroRNA"> MicroRNA</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=epithelial-mesenchymal%20transition" title=" epithelial-mesenchymal transition"> epithelial-mesenchymal transition</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=zinc%20finger%20E-box-binding%20homeobox%201" title=" zinc finger E-box-binding homeobox 1"> zinc finger E-box-binding homeobox 1</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/53847/mir-200azeb1-pathway-in-liver-fibrogenesis-of-biliary-atresia" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/53847.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">363</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1929</span> Compact Dual-Band Bandpass Filter Based on Quarter Wavelength Stepped Impedance Resonators</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yu-Fu%20Chen">Yu-Fu Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Zih-Jyun%20Dai"> Zih-Jyun Dai</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chen-Te%20Chiu"> Chen-Te Chiu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shiue-Chen%20Chiou"> Shiue-Chen Chiou</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yung-Wei%20Chen"> Yung-Wei Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yu-Ming%20Lin"> Yu-Ming Lin</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kuan-Yu%20Chen"> Kuan-Yu Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hung-Wei%20Wu"> Hung-Wei Wu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hsin-Ying%20Lee"> Hsin-Ying Lee</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yan-Kuin%20Su"> Yan-Kuin Su</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shoou-Jinn%20Chang"> Shoou-Jinn Chang</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This paper presents a compact dual-band bandpass filter that involves using the quarter wavelength stepped impedance resonators (SIRs) for achieving simultaneously compact circuit size and good dual-band performance. The filter is designed at 2.4 / 3.5 GHz and constructed by two pairs of quarter wavelength SIRs and source-load lines. By properly tuning the impedance ratio, length ratio and radius of via hole of the SIRs, dual-passbands performance can be easily determined. To improve the passband selectivity, the use of source-load lines is to increase coupling energy between the resonators. The filter is showing simple configuration, effective design method and small circuit size. Predominantly focused on Hu's connections with Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the United States, thereby neglecting his significant milestones in the UK. Notably, his inclusion in the 1978 International Movie Guide in the UK was instrumental in establishing his reputation and categorizing him among the top five global directors of the time. Additionally, the financial sponsorship from the UK-based Goldcrest Film Company brought his unfinished project, "The Battle for Ono," closer to fruition. Beyond these aspects, this study delves deeply into how Director King Hu and film critic Derek Elley navigated the rise of global (especially British and Hong Kong) feminism and how they reacted to gender dynamics or gender politics—masculine and feminine, yin and yang, male and female—in their cinematic focuses. These are facets often overlooked in the broader film community. Given the scarcity of attention these points usually receive, this research project serves as a targeted intervention, spotlighting these critically under-explored yet crucial topics. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=King%20Hu" title="King Hu">King Hu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=1978%20International%20Movie%20Guide%20in%20the%20UK" title=" 1978 International Movie Guide in the UK"> 1978 International Movie Guide in the UK</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Derek%20Elley" title=" Derek Elley"> Derek Elley</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=UK-based%20Goldcrest%20Film%20Company" title=" UK-based Goldcrest Film Company"> UK-based Goldcrest Film Company</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/186718/king-hus-manly-cinematic-language-but-chinese-martial-arts-feminism-in-the-uks-1978-international-movie-guide" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/186718.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">66</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1927</span> At Home in This World: Nanyang Painter Georgette Chen</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Christine%20C.%20Neal">Christine C. The Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) and reports were used in this research. In addition, to evaluate the control room habitability for these cases, the HABIT analysis results were compared with the R.G. 1.78 failure criteria. The comparison results show that the HABIT results are below the criteria. Additionally, some sensitivity studies (stability classification, wind speed and control room intake rate) were performed in this study. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=BWR" title="BWR">BWR</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=HABIT" title=" HABIT"> HABIT</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=habitability" title=" habitability"> habitability</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kuosheng" title=" Kuosheng"> Kuosheng</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/83491/using-habit-to-estimate-the-concentration-of-co2-and-h2so4-for-kuosheng-nuclear-power-plant" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/83491.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">493</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1923</span> The LIP’s Electric Propulsion Development for Chinese Spacecraft</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Zhang%20Tianping">Zhang Tianping</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jia%20Yanhui"> Jia Yanhui</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Li%20Juan"> Li Juan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yang%20Le"> Yang Le</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yang%20Hao"> Yang Hao</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yang%20Wei"> Yang Wei</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sun%20Xiaojing"> Sun Xiaojing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shi%20Kai"> Shi Kai</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Li%20Xingda"> Li Xingda</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sun%20Yunkui"> Sun Yunkui</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Lanzhou Institute of Physics (LIP) is the major supplier of electric propulsion subsystems for Chinese satellite platforms. This paper uses MSC-51 controller to investigate the effect of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) on exhaust emissions for different engine speeds in a single cylinder, four-stroke and spark ignition engine. The results indicate that CO, CO2 and NOX exhaust emissions are lower with the use of LPG compared to the use of unleaded gasoline by using the developed controller. The open-loop in the LPG injection system was controlled by MCS-51 single chip. The results show that if a SI engine is operated with LPG fuel rather than gasoline fuel under the same conditions, significant reduction in exhaust emissions can be achieved. In summary, LPG has positive effects on main exhaust emissions such as CO, CO2 and NOX. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=LPG" title="LPG">LPG</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=control%20circuit" title=" control circuit"> control circuit</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=emission" title=" emission"> emission</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=MCS-51" title=" MCS-51"> MCS-51</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/37121/the-investigation-of-lpg-injector-control-circuit-on-a-motorcycle" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/37121.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">506</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1921</span> Experimental Research on the Properties Reactive Powder Concrete (RPC)</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=S.%20Yousefi%20Oderji">S. The test results show that the binary combination of silica fume and blast-furnace slag provided a positive influence on the mechanical properties of RPC. Although the addition of fibers reduced the workability, results indicated a higher mechanical strength in the inclusion of fibers. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=RPC" title="RPC">RPC</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=steel%20fiber" title=" steel fiber"> steel fiber</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fluidity" title=" fluidity"> fluidity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mechanical%20properties" title=" mechanical properties"> mechanical properties</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/41843/experimental-research-on-the-properties-reactive-powder-concrete-rpc" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/41843.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">309</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1920</span> DSPIC30F6010A Control for 12/8 Switched Reluctance Motor</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yang%20Zhou">Yang Zhou</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chen%20Hao"> Chen Hao</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ma%20Xiaoping"> Ma Xiaoping</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This paper briefly mentions the micro controller unit, and then goes into details about the exact regulations for SRM. Firstly, it proposes the main driving state control for motor and the importance of the motor position sensor. For different speed, the controller will choice various styles such as voltage chopper control, angle position control and current chopper control for which owns its advantages and disadvantages. Combining the strengths of the three discrepant methods, the main control chip will intelligently select the best performing control depending on the load and speed demand. Then the exact flow diagram is showed in paper. At last, an experimental platform is established to verify the correctness of the proposed theory. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a
