ALBION is a central point of scholarly communication in British historical study. It is essential to keeping up with the field regardless whether one is a British historian, literary scholar, or social scientist. The journal enjoys an international reputation for the quality of its widely-cited articles ranging from Roman Britain to the present century and for its assessment of scholarly publication in highly valued book reviews and historiographical essays. Its authors include established scholars and younger ones from all over the world who provide timely and thought-provoking insights into myriad elements of the history of the British Isles, including Scotland, Wales, Ireland and the British Empire/Commonwealth. <hr align="center" width="440" size="1" color="696969"> ALBION is published four times per year in the spring, summer, fall, and winter, and is edited by Michael J. Moore. Members of the North American Conference on British Studies receive the journal as a part of their membership, which is a discount from the journal's rate for direct subscription.
