relationship between the Yo-Yo intermittent recovery test level 1 (YYIR1) and relatively easy to conduct anaerobic power tests such as Sergeant (SJ) and Standing Broad Jump (SBJ), the flexibility Sit&Reach test (S&R) and Hexagon Agility (HA) test in twenty youth soccer players, aged 14 years. Players completed YYIR1 and other performance tests [(SJ), (SBJ] in two consecutive days. The mean YYIR1 distances for the players was 1454 ± 420 m. Peak Anaerobic Power (PAPw) was calculated using SJ (cm) scores. The mean PAPw was 2966,83w. Spearman’s correlation test results revealed that there is a statistically significant negative correlation between HA and YYIR1 tests (r = -0.72, p=0.000) and no significant correlation was found between anaerobic power tests and YYIR1. In conclusion, as a test to measure player’s intermittent aerobic capacity YYIR1 test and anaerobic power test results have not shown significant correlation. Although the YYIR1 test has been used in talent identification, anaerobic qualifications of player’s should be assessed using designated performance tests. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=yo-yo%20test" title="yo-yo test">yo-yo test</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=anaerobic%20power" title=" anaerobic power"> anaerobic power</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=soccer" title=" soccer"> soccer</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sergeant%20jump%20test" title=" sergeant jump test"> sergeant jump test</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/60513/relationship-between-the-yo-yo-intermittent-recovery-test-level-1-and-anaerobic-performance-tests-in-youth-soccer-players" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/60513.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">388</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">14882</span> Validation of Solar PV Inverter Harmonics Behaviour at Different Power Levels in a Test Network</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Wilfred%20Fritz">Wilfred Fritz </a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Grid connected solar PV inverters need to be compliant to standard regulations regarding unwanted harmonic generation. This paper gives an introduction to harmonics, solar PV inverter voltage regulation and balancing through compensation and investigates the behaviour of harmonic generation at different power levels. Practical measurements of harmonics and power levels with a power quality data logger were made, on a test network at a university in Germany. The test setup and test results are discussed. The major finding was that between the morning and afternoon load peak windows when the PV inverters operate under low solar insolation and low power levels, more unwanted harmonics are generated. This has a huge impact on the power quality of the grid as well as capital and maintenance costs. The design of a single-tuned harmonic filter towards harmonic mitigation is presented. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=harmonics" title="harmonics">harmonics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=power%20quality" title=" power quality"> power quality</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=pulse%20width%20modulation" title=" pulse width modulation"> pulse width modulation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=total%20harmonic%20distortion" title=" total harmonic distortion"> total harmonic distortion</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/96827/validation-of-solar-pv-inverter-harmonics-behaviour-at-different-power-levels-in-a-test-network" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/96827.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">239</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">14881</span> Power Transformer Risk-Based Maintenance by Optimization of Transformer Condition and Transformer Importance</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kitti%20Leangkrua">Kitti Leangkrua</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This paper presents a risk-based maintenance strategy of a power transformer in order to optimize operating and maintenance costs. The methodology involves the study and preparation of a database for the collection the technical data and test data of a power transformer. An evaluation of the overall condition of each transformer is performed by a program developed as a result of the measured results; in addition, the calculation of the main equipment separation to the overall condition of the transformer (% HI) and the criteria for evaluating the importance (% ImI) of each location where the transformer is installed. The condition assessment is performed by analysis test data such as electrical test, insulating oil test and visual inspection. The condition of the power transformer will be classified from very poor to very good condition. The importance is evaluated from load criticality, importance of load and failure consequence. The risk matrix is developed for evaluating the risk of each power transformer. The high risk power transformer will be focused firstly. The computerized program is developed for practical use, and the maintenance strategy of a power transformer can be effectively managed. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=asset%20management" title="asset management">asset management</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=risk-based%20maintenance" title=" risk-based maintenance"> risk-based maintenance</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=power%20transformer" title=" power transformer"> power transformer</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=health%20index" title=" health index"> health index</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/78262/power-transformer-risk-based-maintenance-by-optimization-of-transformer-condition-and-transformer-importance" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/78262.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">306</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">14880</span> Thermal Vacuum Chamber Test Result for CubeSat Transmitter</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Fitri%20D.%20Jaswar">Fitri D. The transmitter consumes large amount of electrical energy during the transmission considering the limited satellite size of a CubeSat. A transmitter with power control ability is designed to achieve optimize the signal to noise ratio (SNR) and efficient power consumption. In this paper, the thermal vacuum chamber (TVAC) test is performed to validate the performance of the UHF band transmitter with power control capability. The TVAC is used to simulate the satellite condition in the outer space environment. The TVAC test was conducted at the Laboratory of Spacecraft Environment Interaction Engineering, Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan. The TVAC test used 4 thermal cycles starting from +60°C to -20°C for the temperature setting. The pressure condition inside chamber was less than 10-5Pa. During the test, the UHF transmitter is integrated in a CubeSat configuration with other CubeSat subsystem such as on board computer (OBC), power module, and satellite structure. The system is validated and verified through its performance in terms of its frequency stability and the RF output power. The UHF band transmitter output power is tested from 0.5W to 2W according the satellite mode of operations and the satellite power limitations. The frequency stability is measured and the performance obtained is less than 2 ppm in the tested operating temperature range. The test demonstrates the RF output power is adjustable in a thermal vacuum condition. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=communication%20system" title="communication system">communication system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=CubeSat" title=" CubeSat"> CubeSat</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=SNR" title=" SNR"> SNR</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=UHF%20transmitter" title=" UHF transmitter"> UHF transmitter</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/56669/thermal-vacuum-chamber-test-result-for-cubesat-transmitter" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/56669.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">264</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">14879</span> Directed-Wald Test for Distinguishing Long Memory and Nonlinearity Time Series: Power and Size Simulation</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Heri%20Kuswanto">Heri Kuswanto</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Philipp%20Sibbertsen"> Philipp Sibbertsen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Irhamah"> Irhamah </a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> A Wald type test to distinguish between long memory and ESTAR nonlinearity has been developed. Simulations are conducted to show the Andrews’ test is often valid and powerful, compared with the placebo test. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Synthetic%20Control%20Method" title="Synthetic Control Method">Synthetic Control Method</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Multiple%20treatments" title=" Multiple treatments"> Multiple treatments</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Andrews%27%20test" title=" Andrews' test"> Andrews' test</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=placebo%20test" title=" placebo test"> placebo test</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/118257/inference-for-synthetic-control-methods-with-multiple-treated-units" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/118257.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">164</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">14873</span> Defining the Limits of No Load Test Parameters at Over Excitation to Ensure No Over-Fluxing of Core Based on a Case Study: A Perspective From Utilities</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Pranjal%20Johri">Pranjal Johri</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Misbah%20Ul-Islam"> Misbah Ul-Islam</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Power Transformers are one of the most critical and failure prone entities in an electrical power system. It is an established practice that each design of a power transformer has to undergo numerous type tests for design validation and routine tests are performed on each and every power transformer before dispatch from manufacturer’s works. Different countries follow different standards for testing the transformers. Most common and widely followed standard for Power Transformers is IEC 60076 series. Though these standards put up a strict testing requirements for power transformers, however, few aspects of transformer characteristics and guaranteed parameters can be ensured by some additional tests. Based on certain observations during routine test of a transformer and analyzing the data of a large fleet of transformers, three propositions have been discussed and put forward to be included in test schedules and standards. The observations in the routine test raised questions on design flux density of transformer. In order to ensure that flux density in any part of the core & yoke does not exceed 1.9 tesla at 1.1 pu as well, following propositions need to be followed during testing: From the data studied, it was evident that generally NLC at 1.1 pu is apporx. 3 times of No Load Current at 1 pu voltage. During testing the power factor at 1.1 pu excitation, it must be comparable to calculated values from the Cold Rolled Grain Oriented steel material curves, including building factor. A limit of 3 % to be extended for higher than rated voltages on difference in Vavg and Vrms, during no load testing. Extended over excitation test to be done in case above propositions are observed to be violated during testing. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=power%20transfoemrs" title="power transfoemrs">power transfoemrs</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=no%20load%20current" title=" no load current"> no load current</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=DGA" title=" DGA"> DGA</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=power%20factor" title=" power factor"> power factor</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/157253/defining-the-limits-of-no-load-test-parameters-at-over-excitation-to-ensure-no-over-fluxing-of-core-based-on-a-case-study-a-perspective-from-utilities" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/157253.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">104</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">14872</span> Effects of 8-Week Bee Bread Supplementation on Isokinetic Muscular Strength and Power in Young Athletes</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Fadzel%20Wong%20Chee%20Ping">Fadzel Wong Chee Ping</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chee%20Keong%20Chen"> Chee Keong Chen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Foong%20Kiew%20Ooi"> Foong Kiew Ooi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mahaneem%20Mohamed"> Mahaneem Mohamed</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Introduction: To date, information on the effects of bee bread supplementation on isokinetic muscular performance are lacking. Therefore, this study was carried out to investigate the effects of 8-week bee bread supplementation on isokinetic muscular strength and power in young athletes. Methodology: Twelve male athletes (age: 24.0±1.8 years; BMI: 22.3 ± 1.3 kg.m-2; VO2max: 52.0 ± 2.8 mL.kg-1.min-1) were recruited in this randomised double blind, placebo-controlled crossover study. Participants consumed either bee bread at a dosage of 20 g.d-1 or placebo for 8 weeks. An isokinetic dynamometer was used to measure participants’ lower limb muscular strength and power prior (pre-test) and post (post-test) 8 weeks of experimental period. Testing angular velocities were set at 180o.s-1 and 300o.s-1 to determine knee flexion and extension muscular peak torque (an indicator of muscular strength) and average power of the participants. Statistical analyses were performed using ANOVA with repeated measures. Results: Isokinetic knee extension peak torque and average power at 180o.s-1, and isokinetic knee flexion peak torque and average power at 180o.s-1 were significantly (p<0.05) higher at post-test compared to pre-test with bee bread supplementation. However, significant differences were not observed in the measured parameters between pre- and post-test with placebo supplementation. Conclusion: Supplementation of bee bread for 8 weeks at a dosage of 20 g daily increased some of the measured isokinetic muscular strength and power parameters in young athletes. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=bee%20bread" title="bee bread">bee bread</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=isokinetic" title=" isokinetic"> isokinetic</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=power" title=" power"> power</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=strength" title=" strength "> strength </a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/56220/effects-of-8-week-bee-bread-supplementation-on-isokinetic-muscular-strength-and-power-in-young-athletes" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/56220.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">255</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">14871</span> Power Quality Audit Using Fluke Analyzer</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=N.%20Ravikumar">N. A curve is fitted to the averaged data and a correlation between the wave power and flow speed is founded. Test data are used to validate the method and errors for all test data were under 10 percent. The speed of the flow can be estimated by calculating the wave power of the flow generated sound and using the proposed correlation. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=the%20flow%20generated%20sound" title="the flow generated sound">the flow generated sound</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=free%20stream" title=" free stream"> free stream</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sound%20processing" title=" sound processing"> sound processing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=speed" title=" speed"> speed</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=wave%20power" title=" wave power"> wave power</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/35611/finding-the-free-stream-velocity-using-flow-generated-sound" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/35611.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">415</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">14868</span> Power Flow and Modal Analysis of a Power System Including Unified Power Flow Controller</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Djilani%20Kobibi%20Youcef%20Islam">Djilani Kobibi Youcef Islam</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hadjeri%20Samir"> Hadjeri Samir</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Djehaf%20Mohamed%20Abdeldjalil"> Djehaf Mohamed Abdeldjalil</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) technology is a new advanced solution that increases the reliability and provides more flexibility, controllability, and stability of a power system. Power swing detection algorithm is highly important in distance relay, but protection relays should have general requirements such as correct fault detection, response rate, and minimization of disturbances in a power system. To ensure meeting the requirements, protection relays need different tests during development, setup, maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting steps. This system can be used to assess the performance of electric motors or axles intended for electric vehicles. The model has been developed to predict the behaviour of EOL test benches and electric motors/axles under various boundary conditions, eliminating the need for extensive physical testing and reducing the corresponding power consumption. The suggested model is versatile, capable of being utilized across various types of electric motors or axles, and adaptable to accommodate varying power ratings of electric motors or axles. The maximum performance to be guaranteed by the EMs according to the car maker's specifications are taken as inputs in the model. Then, the required performance of each main EOL test bench component is calculated, and the corresponding systems available on the market are selected based on manufacturers’ catalogues. In this study, an EOL test bench has been designed according to the proposed model outputs for testing a low-power (about 22 kW) electric axle. The performance of the designed EOL test bench has been measured and used to validate the proposed model and assess both the consistency of the constraints as well as the accuracy of predictions in terms of electric demands. The comparison between experimental and predicted data exhibited a reasonable agreement, allowing to demonstrate that, despite some discrepancies, the model gives an accurate representation of the EOL test benches' performance. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electric%20motors" title="electric motors">electric motors</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electric%20vehicles" title=" electric vehicles"> electric vehicles</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=end-of-production-line%20test%20bench" title=" end-of-production-line test bench"> end-of-production-line test bench</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mathematical%20model" title=" mathematical model"> mathematical model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=field%20tests" title=" field tests"> field tests</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/185756/experimental-validation-of-a-mathematical-model-for-sizing-end-of-production-line-test-benches-for-electric-motors-of-electric-vehicle" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/185756.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">51</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">14864</span> A Neural Network Control for Voltage Balancing in Three-Phase Electric Power System</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dana%20M.%20Ragab">Dana M. The voltage unbalance usually degrades the power quality of the electric power system. Several techniques can be considered for load balancing including load reconfiguration, static synchronous compensator and static reactive power compensator. In this work an efficient neural network is designed to control the unbalanced condition in the Aqaba-Qatrana-South Amman (AQSA) electric power system. It is designed for highly enhanced response time of the reactive compensator for voltage balancing. The neural network is developed to determine the appropriate set of firing angles required for the thyristor-controlled reactor to balance the three load voltages accurately and quickly. The parameters of AQSA power system are considered in the laboratory model, and several test cases have been conducted to test and validate the proposed technique capabilities. The results have shown a high performance of the proposed Neural Network Control (NNC) technique for correcting the voltage unbalance conditions at three-phase load based on accuracy and response time. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=three-phase%20power%20system" title="three-phase power system">three-phase power system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=reactive%20power%20control" title=" reactive power control"> reactive power control</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=voltage%20unbalance%20factor" title=" voltage unbalance factor"> voltage unbalance factor</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=neural%20network" title=" neural network"> neural network</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=power%20quality" title=" power quality"> power quality</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/104856/a-neural-network-control-for-voltage-balancing-in-three-phase-electric-power-system" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/104856.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">195</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">14863</span> Weibull Cumulative Distribution Function Analysis with Life Expectancy Endurance Test Result of Power Window Switch</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Miky%20Lee">Miky Lee</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=K.%20Kim"> K. The detail process of analysis and test results on the selected PWS set were discussed in this paper. A statistical approach to ‘life time expectancy’ was given to the measurement standards dealing with PWS lifetime determination through endurance tests. The approach choice, within the framework of the task, was explained. The present task was dedicated to voltage drop measurement to derive lifetime expectancy while others mostly consider contact or surface resistance. The measurements to perform and the main instruments to measure were fully described accordingly. The failure data from tests were analyzed to conclude lifetime expectancy through statistical method using Weibull cumulative distribution function. The first goal of this task is to develop realistic worst case lifetime endurance test specification because existing large number of switch test standards cannot induce degradation mechanism which makes the switches less reliable. 2nd goal is to assess quantitative reliability status of PWS currently manufactured based on test specification newly developed thru this project. The last and most important goal is to satisfy customer’ requirement regarding product reliability. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=power%20window%20switch" title="power window switch">power window switch</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=endurance%20test" title=" endurance test"> endurance test</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Weibull%20function" title=" Weibull function"> Weibull function</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=reliability" title=" reliability"> reliability</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=degradation%20mechanism" title=" degradation mechanism"> degradation mechanism</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/83893/weibull-cumulative-distribution-function-analysis-with-life-expectancy-endurance-test-result-of-power-window-switch" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/83893.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">235</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">14862</span> ANFIS Based Technique to Estimate Remnant Life of Power Transformer by Predicting Furan Contents </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Priyesh%20Kumar%20Pandey">Priyesh Kumar Pandey</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Zakir%20Husain"> Zakir Husain</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=R.%20K.%20Jarial"> R. A sample design is made using a specific Integrated Circuit (IC) available in the PSpice library. A designer can experiment feedback loop design using Cadence Pspice tool. PSpice is easy to use, reliable, and convenient. To test a feedback loop, generally, engineers use trial and error method with the hardware which takes a lot of time and manpower. Moreover, it is expensive because component and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) may go bad. PSpice can be used by designers to test their loop designs without using hardware circuits. A designer can save time, cost, manpower and simulate his/her power supply circuit accurately before making a real hardware using this software package. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=power%20electronics" title="power electronics">power electronics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=feedback%20loop" title=" feedback loop"> feedback loop</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=regulation" title=" regulation"> regulation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=stability" title=" stability"> stability</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=pole" title=" pole"> pole</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=zero" title=" zero"> zero</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=oscillation" title=" oscillation"> oscillation</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/80824/power-supply-feedback-regulation-loop-design-using-cadence-pspice-tool-determining-converter-stability-by-simulation" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/80824.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">346</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">14860</span> Diagnostic of Breakdown in High Voltage Bushing Power Transformer 500 kV Cirata Substation</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Andika%20Bagaskara">Andika Bagaskara</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Andhika%20Rizki%20Pratama"> Andhika Rizki Pratama</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lalu%20Arya%20Repatmaja"> Lalu Arya Repatmaja</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Septhian%20Ditaputra%20Raharja"> Septhian Ditaputra Raharja</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The power transformer is one of the critical things in system transmission. Regular testing of the power transformer is very important to maintain the reliability of the power. One of the causes of the failure of the transformer is the breakdown of insulation caused by the presence of voids in the equipment that is electrified. As a result of the voids that occur in this power transformer equipment, it can cause partial discharge. Several methods were used to determine the occurrence of damage to the power transformer equipment, such as Sweep Frequency Response Analysis (SFRA) and Tan Delta. In Inter Bus Transformer (IBT) 500/150 kV Cirata Extra High Voltage (EHV) Substation, a breakdown occurred in the T-phase tertiary bushing. From the lessons learned in this case, a complete electrical test was carried out. From the results of the complete electrical test, there was a suspicion of deterioration in the post-breakdown SFRA results. After overhaul and inspection, traces of voids were found on the tertiary bushing, which indicated a breakdown in the tertiary bushing of the IBT 500/150kV Cirata Substation transformer. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=void" title="void">void</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=bushing" title=" bushing"> bushing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=SFRA" title=" SFRA"> SFRA</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tan%20Delta" title=" Tan Delta"> Tan Delta</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/158237/diagnostic-of-breakdown-in-high-voltage-bushing-power-transformer-500-kv-cirata-substation" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/158237.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">141</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">14859</span> Effects of Plyometric Exercises on Agility, Power and Speed Improvement of U-17 Female Sprinters in Case of Burayu Athletics Project, Oromia, Ethiopia</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Abdeta%20Bayissa%20Mekessa">Abdeta Bayissa Mekessa</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of plyometric exercises on agility, power, and speed and improvement of U-17 female sprinters in the case of the Burayu Athletics project. The true experimental research design was employed for conducting this study. The total populations of the study were 14 U-17 female sprinters from Burayu athletics project. The populations were small in numbers; therefore, the researcher took all as a sample by using comprehensive sampling techniques. These subjects were classified into the Experimental group (N=7) and the Control group (N=7) by using simple random sampling techniques. The Experimental group participated in plyometric training for 8 weeks, 3 days per week and 60 minutes duration per day in addition to their regular training. But, the control groups were following their only regular training program. The variables selected for the purpose of this study were agility, power and speed. The tests were the Illinois agility test, standing long jump test, and 30m sprint test, respectively. Both groups were tested before (pre-test) and after (post-test) 8 weeks of plyometric training. For data analysis, the researcher used SPSS version 26.0 software. The collected data was analyzed using a paired sample t-test to observe the difference between the pre-test and post-test results of the plyometric exercises of the study. The significant level of p<0.05 was considered. The result of the study shows that after 8 weeks of plyometric training, significant improvements were found in Agility (MD=0.45, p<0.05), power (MD=-1.157, P<0.05) and speed (MD=0.37, P<0.05) for experimental group subjects. On the other hand, there was no significant change (P>0.05) in those variables in the control groups. Finally, the findings of the study showed that eight (8) weeks of plyometric exercises had a positive effect on agility, power and speed improvement of female sprinters. Therefore, Athletics coaches and athletes are highly recommended to include plyometric exercise in their training program. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ploymetric%20exercise" title="ploymetric exercise">ploymetric exercise</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=speed%20power" title=" speed power"> speed power</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=aglity" title=" aglity"> aglity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=female%20sprinter" title=" female sprinter"> female sprinter</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/187318/effects-of-plyometric-exercises-on-agility-power-and-speed-improvement-of-u-17-female-sprinters-in-case-of-burayu-athletics-project-oromia-ethiopia" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/187318.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">39</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">14858</span> Chi Square Confirmation of Autonomic Functions Percentile Norms of Indian Sportspersons Withdrawn from Competitive Games and Sports</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Pawan%20Kumar">Pawan Kumar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dhananjoy%20Shaw"> Dhananjoy Shaw</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Manoj%20Kumar%20Rathi"> Manoj Kumar Rathi</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Purpose of the study were to compare between (a) frequencies among the four quartiles of percentile norms of autonomic variables from power events and (b) frequencies among the four quartiles percentile norms of autonomic variables from aerobic events of Indian sportspersons withdrawn from competitive games and sports in regard to number of samples falling in each quartile. The study was conducted on 430 males of 30 to 35 years of age. Based on the nature of game/sports the retired sportspersons were classified into power events (throwers, judo players, wrestlers, short distance swimmers, cricket fast bowlers and power lifters) and aerobic events (long distance runners, long distance swimmers, water polo players). Date was collected using ECG polygraphs. Data were processed and extracted using frequency domain analysis and time domain analysis. Collected data were computed with frequency, percentage of each quartile and finally the frequencies were compared with the chi square analysis. The finding pertaining to norm reference comparison of frequencies among the four quartiles of Indian sportspersons withdrawn from competitive games and sports from (a) power events suggests that frequency distribution in four quartile namely Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4 are significantly different at .05 level in regard to variables namely, SDNN, Total Power (Absolute Power), HF (Absolute Power), LF (Normalized Power), HF (Normalized Power), LF/HF ratio, deep breathing test, expiratory respiratory ratio, valsalva manoeuvre, hand grip test, cold pressor test and lying to standing test, whereas, insignificantly different at .05 level in regard to variables namely, SDSD, RMSSD, SDANN, NN50 Count, pNN50 Count, LF (Absolute Power) and 30: 15 Ratio (b) aerobic events suggests that frequency distribution in four quartile are significantly different at .05 level in regard to variables namely, SDNN, LF (Normalized Power), HF (Normalized Power), LF/HF ratio, deep breathing test, expiratory respiratory ratio, hand grip test, cold pressor test, lying to standing test and 30: 15 ratio, whereas, insignificantly different at .05 level in regard to variables namely, SDSD, RMSSD. SDANN, NN50 count, pNN50 count, Total Power (Absolute Power), LF(Absolute Power) HF(Absolute Power), and valsalva manoeuvre. The study concluded that comparison of frequencies among the four quartiles of Indian retired sportspersons from power events and aerobic events are different in four quartiles in regard to selected autonomic functions, hence the developed percentile norms are not homogenously distributed across the percentile scale; hence strengthen the percentage distribution towards normal distribution. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=power" title="power">power</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=aerobic" title=" aerobic"> aerobic</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=absolute%20power" title=" absolute power"> absolute power</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=normalized%20power" title=" normalized power"> normalized power</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/4136/chi-square-confirmation-of-autonomic-functions-percentile-norms-of-indian-sportspersons-withdrawn-from-competitive-games-and-sports" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/4136.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">353</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">14857</span> Toward a Characteristic Optimal Power Flow Model for Temporal Constraints</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Zongjie%20Wang">Zongjie Wang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Zhizhong%20Guo"> Zhizhong Guo</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> While the regular optimal power flow model focuses on a single time scan, the optimization of power systems is typically intended for a time duration with respect to a desired objective function. In this paper, a temporal optimal power flow model for a time period is proposed. To reduce the computation burden needed for calculating temporal optimal power flow, a characteristic optimal power flow model is proposed, which employs different characteristic load patterns to represent the objective function and security constraints. A numerical method based on the interior point method is also proposed for solving the characteristic optimal power flow model. Both the temporal optimal power flow model and characteristic optimal power flow model can improve the systems’ desired objective function for the entire time period. Numerical studies are conducted on the IEEE 14 and 118-bus test systems to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed characteristic optimal power flow model. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=optimal%20power%20flow" title="optimal power flow">optimal power flow</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=time%20period" title=" time period"> time period</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=security" title=" security"> security</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=economy" title=" economy"> economy</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/61552/toward-a-characteristic-optimal-power-flow-model-for-temporal-constraints" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/61552.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">451</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">14856</span> Cloud Effect on Power Generation of Grid-Connected Small PV Systems</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yehya%20Abdellatif">Yehya Abdellatif</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ahmed%20Alsalaymeh"> Ahmed Alsalaymeh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Iyad%20Muslih"> Iyad Muslih</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ali%20Alshduifat"> Ali Alshduifat </a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems, mainly small scale, are rapidly being deployed in Jordan. The event involved a major fire in the turbine building of NAPS unit-1 and resulted in a total loss of power to the unit for 17 hours. In addition, there was a heavy ingress of smoke in the control room, mainly through the intake of the ventilation system, forcing the operators to vacate the control room. The Narora fire accident provides us lessons indicating that operators could lose their mind and predictable behaviors during a fire. After the Fukushima accident, which resulted from a natural disaster, unanticipated external events are also required to be prepared and controlled for the ultimate safety of nuclear power plants. From last year, our research team has developed a test and evaluation facility that can simulate external events such as an earthquake and fire based on the operators’ real-sense. As one of the results of the project, we proposed a unit real-sense-based facility that can simulate fire events in a control room for utilizing a test-bed of human factor validation. The test-bed has the operator’s workstation shape and functions to simulate fire conditions such as smoke, heat, and auditory alarms in accordance with the prepared fire scenarios. Furthermore, the test-bed can be used for the operators’ training and experience. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a
