As the number of applications developed rapidly, the ever-increasing volume of data collected has driven the architectural migration from Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) to NoSQL (Not Only SQL) database. This very recent technology is important enough in the field of database management. The main aim of this paper is to present a methodology for data migration from RDBMS to NoSQL database. To illustrate this methodology, we implement a software prototype using MySQL as a RDBMS and MongoDB as a NoSQL database. Although this is a hard engineering work, our results show that the proposed methodology can successfully accomplish the goal of this study. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Data%20Migration" title="Data Migration">Data Migration</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=MySQL" title=" MySQL"> MySQL</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=RDBMS" title=" RDBMS"> RDBMS</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=NoSQL" title=" NoSQL"> NoSQL</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=MongoDB." title=" MongoDB. Many researchers have been devoted into increasing correct rates and reducing time complexities. Hence, the study designs and proposes an Ontology-based backpropagation neural network classification and reasoning strategy for NoSQL big data applications, which is called ON4NoSQL. ON4NoSQL is responsible for enhancing the performances of classifications in NoSQL and SQL databases to build up mass behavior models. Mass behavior models are made by MapReduce techniques and Hadoop distributed file system based on Hadoop service platform. The reference engine of ON4NoSQL is the ontology-based backpropagation neural network classification and reasoning strategy. Simulation results indicate that ON4NoSQL can efficiently achieve to construct a high performance environment for data storing, searching, and retrieving.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Hadoop" title="Hadoop">Hadoop</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=NoSQL" title=" NoSQL"> NoSQL</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=ontology" title=" ontology"> ontology</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=backpropagation%20neural%20network" title=" backpropagation neural network"> backpropagation neural network</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=and%20high%20distributed%20file%20system." title=" and high distributed file system."> and high distributed file system.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008127/ontology-based-backpropagation-neural-network-classification-and-reasoning-strategy-for-nosql-and-sql-databases" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008127/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008127/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008127/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008127/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008127/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008127/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008127/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008127/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008127/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008127/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008127.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">999</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6</span> Post Pandemic Mobility Analysis through Indexing and Sharding in MongoDB: Performance Optimization and Insights</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Karan%20Vishavjit">Karan Vishavjit</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Aakash%20Lakra"> Aakash Lakra</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Shafaq%20Khan"> Shafaq Khan</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>The COVID-19 pandemic has pushed healthcare professionals to use big data analytics as a vital tool for tracking and evaluating the effects of contagious viruses. To effectively analyse huge datasets, efficient NoSQL databases are needed. The analysis of post-COVID-19 health and well-being outcomes and the evaluation of the effectiveness of government efforts during the pandemic is made possible by this research鈥檚 integration of several datasets, which cuts down on query processing time and creates predictive visual artifacts. We recommend applying sharding and indexing technologies to improve query effectiveness and scalability as the dataset expands. Effective data retrieval and analysis are made possible by spreading the datasets into a sharded database and doing indexing on individual shards. Analysis of connections between governmental activities, poverty levels, and post-pandemic wellbeing is the key goal. We want to evaluate the effectiveness of governmental initiatives to improve health and lower poverty levels. We will do this by utilising advanced data analysis and visualisations. The findings provide relevant data that support the advancement of UN sustainable objectives, future pandemic preparation, and evidence-based decision-making. This study shows how Big Data and NoSQL databases may be used to address problems with global health.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=COVID-19" title="COVID-19">COVID-19</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=big%20data" title=" big data"> big data</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=data%20analysis" title=" data analysis"> data analysis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=indexing" title=" indexing"> indexing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=NoSQL" title=" NoSQL"> NoSQL</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=sharding" title=" sharding"> sharding</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=scalability" title=" scalability"> scalability</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=poverty." title=" poverty."> poverty.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013742/post-pandemic-mobility-analysis-through-indexing-and-sharding-in-mongodb-performance-optimization-and-insights" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013742/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013742/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013742/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013742/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013742/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013742/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013742/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013742/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013742/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013742/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013742.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">69</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">5</span> Architecture of Large-Scale Systems</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Arne%20Koschel">Arne Koschel</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Irina%20Astrova"> Irina Astrova</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Elena%20Deutschk%C3%A4mer"> Elena Deutschk盲mer</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Jacob%20Ester"> Jacob Ester</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Johannes%20Feldmann"> Johannes Feldmann</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>In this paper various techniques in relation to large-scale systems are presented. spatial network, describing a structure which permits either vehicular movement or flow of some commodity. Examples include road networks, railways, air routes, pipelines, and many more. The transportation network plays a vital role in maintaining the vigor of the nation’s economy. Hence, ensuring the network stays resilient all the time, especially in the face of challenges such as heavy traffic loads and large scale natural disasters, is of utmost importance. In this paper, we used the Neo4j application to develop the graph. Neo4j is the world's leading open-source, NoSQL, a native graph database that implements an ACID-compliant transactional backend to applications. The Southern California network model is developed using the Neo4j application and obtained the most critical and optimal nodes and paths in the network using centrality algorithms. The edge betweenness centrality algorithm calculates the critical or optimal paths using Yen's <em>k</em>-shortest paths algorithm, and the node betweenness centrality algorithm calculates the amount of influence a node has over the network. The preliminary study results confirm that the Neo4j application can be a suitable tool to study the important nodes and the critical paths for the major congested metropolitan area.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Transportation%20network" title="Transportation network">Transportation network</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=critical%20path" title=" critical path"> critical path</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=connectivity%20reliability" title=" connectivity reliability"> connectivity reliability</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=network%20model" title=" network model"> network model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Neo4J%20application" title=" Neo4J application"> Neo4J application</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=optimal%20path" title=" optimal path"> optimal path</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=critical%20path" title=" critical path"> critical path</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=edge%20betweenness%20centrality%20index" title=" edge betweenness centrality index"> edge betweenness centrality index</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=node%20betweenness%20centrality%20index" title=" node betweenness centrality index"> node betweenness centrality index</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Yen%E2%80%99s%20k-shortest%20paths." title=" Yen鈥檚 k-shortest paths. The system is made up of different software modules and comprises a front-end and a back-end component. Built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, the front-end allows adding users, logging into the system, selecting metrics, and specifying health goals. The backend consists of a NoSQL Mongo database, a Python script, and a SimpleHTTPServer written in Python. The database stores user profiles and health data in JSON format. The Python script makes use of the PyMongo driver library to query the database and displays formatted data as a daily snapshot of user health metrics against target goals. Any number of standard and custom metrics can be added to the system, and corresponding health data can be fed automatically, via sensor APIs or manually, as text or picture data files. A real-time METAR request API permits correlating weather data with patient health, and an advanced query system is implemented to allow trend analysis of selected health metrics over custom time intervals. Available on the GitHub repository system, the project is free to use for academic purposes of learning and experimenting, or practical purposes by building on it.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Flask" title="Flask">Flask</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Java" title=" Java"> Java</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=JavaScript" title=" JavaScript"> JavaScript</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=health%20monitoring" title=" health monitoring"> health monitoring</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=long%20term%0D%0Acare" title=" long term care"> long term care</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mongo" title=" Mongo"> Mongo</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Python" title=" Python"> Python</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=smart%20home" title=" smart home"> smart home</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=software%20engineering" title=" software engineering"> software engineering</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=webserver." title=" webserver."> webserver.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000719/an-extensible-software-infrastructure-for-computer-aided-custom-monitoring-of-patients-in-smart-homes" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000719/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000719/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000719/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000719/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000719/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000719/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000719/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000719/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000719/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000719/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10000719.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">2134</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1</span> Feasibility Study of MongoDB and Radio Frequency Identification Technology in Asset Tracking System</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mohd%20Noah%20A.%20Rahman">Mohd Noah A.
