The individual may feel emotionally, cognitively, and physically overwhelmed. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares and severe anxiety, as well as uncontrollable thoughts about the event. It develops after a terrifying ordeal that involved physical harm or the threat of physical harm. The term neurology comes from a combination of two words - \"neuron\" meaning nerve and "logia" meaning \"the study of\". There are around a hundred billion neurons in the brain, capable of generating their own impulses and of receiving and transmitting impulses from neighbouring cells.
