considered an in-state or out-of-state student. Students who are not considered California residents for fee purposes are required to pay an additional fee of $396 per unit each semester.  For more information regarding non-resident tuition fees University</strong><span> </span>provisions that outline non-resident exceptions for Veterans, military service members, and dependents.</p> <p><strong>Exceptions of Non-Resident Fees for Veterans and Military Service Members</strong></p> <ul> <li>A member of the U.S. Armed Forces stationed in California on active duty for more than 30 days.</li> <li>A veteran of the U.S Armed Forces formerly stationed in California on active duty for more than one year who enrolls within two years of discharge from a California military base.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Exceptions of Non-Resident Fees for Dependents</strong></p> <ul> <li>A dependent of a member of the U.S. Armed Forces stationed in California on active duty for more than 30 days.</li> </ul> <p>For more information regarding these
