الوزراء على مشروع قرار رئيس الجمهورية بشأن كُلٍ من "الاتفاقية العامة لإنشاء السوق العربية المشتركة للكهرباء"، و"اتفاقية السوق العربية المشتركة للكهرباء".</p> <p> وتأتي هذه الخطوة في ضوء أهمية رؤية الربط الكهربائي العربي الشامل كأحد أهم المشروعات التكاملية العربية، التي تُمهد الطريق لإقامة سوق عربية مُشتركة للكهرباء، وتقوم على وجود إطار مؤسسي قوي يُصاحبه بنية تحتية مكتملة للربط الكهربائي بين الدول العربية، تأخذ في الاعتبار الجوانب الفنية لتحقيق تكامل السوق، إلى جانب إطار تشريعي لحوكمة سوق الكهرباء، حيث يشتمل هذا الإطار على مذكرة التفاهم المُوقعة في أبريل 2017 لإنشاء السوق العربية المشتركة للكهرباء، ووقع عليها حتى الآن 16 دولة عربية، وكذلك الاتفاقية العامة وتوقع عليها الدول الأعضاء، ثم اتفاقية السوق العربية المشتركة للكهرباء وتمثل وثيقة أكثر تفصيلاً تُنظم كيفية تنفيذ أطرافها للالتزامات
