The letter recommends updating the bill to reference the latest (2021) edition of ASHRAE Standard 188. The letter also recommends the use of ASHRAE Guideline 12-2020, Managing the Risk of Legionellosis Associated with Building Water Systems, which provides detailed guidance for developing a water management plan. In a hearing on March 10, the Senate Health, Human Services, and Senior Citizens Committee voted in favor of this bill, and it is currently under consideration by the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee.
