The steps of consistency analysis, treatment and data conversion, as well as the computational models used are described, and some metrics are compared in order to identify their effectiveness. The results obtained for the most accurate model presented a rate of 82. 9% of hits related to the prediction of rainfall equal to or greater than 10 mm h -1 one hour prior its occurrence. Given this, it is essential to develop new farming techniques aimed at increasing food production and also the sustainable maintenance of natural resources and the environment. To produce food in the right quantity, at the right time, and affordable prices, farmers must adopt precision farming models to increase the food production amount. Precision agriculture uses agricultural management techniques based on the measurement and control of crop parameters such as soil moisture, air temperature, and the irrigation control. In this context, agricultural irrigation accounts for the greater consumption of freshwater available for use on the planet. Adopting techniques that allow increasing agricultural production, reducing irrigated water amount and waste, becomes crucial and the most appropriate responses are the implementation of solutions using Artificial Intelligence. This work uses a Precision Irrigation model, with the rain forecast as a complement to the irrigation process, to keep the soil moisture at an appropriate level for the sweet pepper culture. A fuzzy inference system was used in the the irrigation prescription amount, with the climatic data acquisition made through IoT devices installed in the crop field, maximizing soil wetting through rainfall and reducing irrigated water amount. Given this, it is essential to develop new farming techniques aimed at increasing food production and also the sustainable maintenance of natural resources and the environment. To produce food in the right quantity, at the right time, and affordable prices, farmers must adopt precision farming models to increase the food production amount. Precision agriculture uses agricultural management techniques based on the measurement and control of crop parameters such as soil moisture, air temperature, and the irrigation control. In this context, agricultural irrigation accounts for the greater consumption of freshwater available for use on the planet. Adopting techniques that allow increasing agricultural production, reducing irrigated water amount and waste, becomes crucial and the most appropriate responses are the implementation of solutions using Artificial Intelligence. This work uses a Precision Irrigation model, with the rain forecast as a complement to the irrigation process, to keep the soil moisture at an appropriate level for the sweet pepper culture. A fuzzy inference system was used in the the irrigation prescription amount, with the climatic data acquisition made through IoT devices installed in the crop field, maximizing soil wetting through rainfall and reducing irrigated water amount. The average reduction of 16% in irrigation, obtained in simulations and real experiments, indicates a good response of the model to the proposed objective</span></span></p></div></div></div><div Given this, it is essential to develop new farming techniques aimed at increasing food production and also the sustainable maintenance of natural resources and the environment. To produce food in the right quantity, at the right time, and affordable prices, farmers must adopt precision farming models to increase the food production amount. Precision agriculture uses agricultural management techniques based on the measurement and control of crop parameters such as soil moisture, air temperature, and the irrigation control. In this context, agricultural irrigation accounts for the greater consumption of freshwater available for use on the planet. Adopting techniques that allow increasing agricultural production, reducing irrigated water amount and waste, becomes crucial and the most appropriate responses are the implementation of solutions using Artificial Intelligence. This work uses a Precision Irrigation model, with the rain forecast as a complement to the irrigation process, to keep the soil moisture at an appropriate level for the sweet pepper culture. A fuzzy inference system was used in the the irrigation prescription amount, with the climatic data acquisition made through IoT devices installed in the crop field, maximizing soil wetting through rainfall and reducing irrigated water amount. In the present study, the energy efficiency of aeration of stored sunflower grains was estimated, and a model was proposed and tested to estimate the energy efficiency of aeration, using different algorithms in supervised and unsupervised machine learning. The objective of the work was to develop a Web application based on data mining and modeling with machine learning. The database was composed of information on the average temperature at the height of the sensors, average temperature of the silo, external ambient temperature, occurrence of aeration, if there was cooling, heating and direct heating during aeration, and the energy efficiency of the aeration process. The model for estimating the energy efficiency of the aeration process proved to be efficient, identifying that the energy efficiency was 97.78% during the aeration of stored sunflower grains. The used data were collected between 2008 and 2012 by the surface meteorological station of the Polytechnic Institute of Rio de Janeiro State University, located in Nova Friburgo -RJ, Brazil. The main objective is the automatic prediction related to extreme precipitation events surrounding the meteorological station location one hour prior its occurrence. Classification models were developed based on decision trees and artificial neural networks. The steps of consistency analysis, treatment and data conversion, as well as the computational models used are described, and some metrics are compared in order to identify their effectiveness. The results obtained for the most accurate model presented a rate of 82. 9% of hits related to the prediction of rainfall equal to or greater than 10 mm h -1 one hour prior its occurrence.
