werden gelegentlich bis sehr häufig von ihren Bewerbern geghostet.</li> <li>Bewerber brechen die Jobsuche am öftesten zwischen der Vertragsunterzeichnung und dem Job-Beginn ab.</li> <li>50 % der Bewerber lassen sich schon mal gerne aktiv von Unternehmen ansprechen.</li> </ul> <p><br /> <b>Wien, 13. November 2024</b>. <b>Ghosting gibt es nicht nur im Dating – das wissen 77 % der heimischen Recruiter nur zu gut aus ihrem Alltag. Sie haben gelegentlich bis sehr häufig Erfahrungen damit, dass ihre Bewerber mitten im Bewerbungsprozess abspringen und untertauchen. Am häufigsten wird der Prozess nach der Vertragsunterzeichnung aber noch vor dem Jobeintritt abgebrochen. Das zeigt der XING Arbeitsmarktreport 2024. Für diesen hat das Marktforschungsinstitut Appinio 150 heimische Recruiter sowie 1.000 Arbeitnehmerinnen und Arbeitnehmer in Österreich im Rahmen einer Online-Umfrage befragt. </b></p> <p>Ghosting ist das plötzliche Untertauchen und Abbrechen des Kontakts. Man kennt es vorranging vom Dating. Aber auch Bewerber tun es –und zwar mitten im Bewerbungsprozess. Knapp zwei Drittel der befragten Recruiter (ca. 63 %) erleben dieses Verhalten seitens Bewerber in ihrem Alltag gelegentlich. Mehr als 13 % der Unternehmen kennen Ghosting gut und haben diese Erfahrung mit ihren Bewerbern häufig bis sehr häufig. Knapp ein Viertel der Recruiter (23 %) erleben es hingegen selten.</p> <p>Fast die Hälfte der Recruiter (45 %) sagt, ihre Bewerber:innen springen nach der Vertragsunterzeichnung, aber noch vor dem Arbeitsbeginn ab. Ein Viertel der Recruiter erlebt, dass Bewerber nach der Job-Zusage, aber noch vor der Vertragsunterzeichnung den Bewerbungsprozess abbrechen. 12 % erleben, dass sich ihre Bewerber direkt nach dem ersten Gespräch mit dem Recruiter nicht mehr melden. Weitere „Absprungpunkte“ sind das erste Kennenlernen der Führungskraft (5 %) und das Kennenlernen des Teams (5 %).</p> <p>„Eine Bilanz, die zu denken gibt. Man hört eher, dass Unternehmen ihren Kandidaten keine Rückmeldung auf eingehende Bewerbungen geben. Dass es auch umgekehrt passiert, zeigt das neue Selbstbewusstsein der Kandidaten bei der Jobsuche am Arbeitnehmermarkt und dass sie begehrte Talente mit vielen Möglichkeiten sind“, sagt Sandra Bascha, Leitung Kommunikation XING Österreich und New-Work-Expertin.</p> <p><b>Bewerber wollen die erste Rückmeldung rasch</b><br /> Maximal eine Woche – so lange sollte es dauern, bis sich ein Unternehmen erstmalig auf eine eingegangene Bewerbung zurückmeldet. Das fordert knapp die Hälfte (46 %) der 1.000 befragten Beschäftigten in Österreich. Etwas mehr als ein Drittel (39 %) würden Unternehmen mehr Zeit für deren Rückmeldung geben, zwischen einer und zwei Wochen. Bis zu drei Wochen dürfen Unternehmen nur der Ansicht von 11 % der Beschäftigten nach brauchen. Bis zur vier Wochen warten immerhin noch 3 % der Befragten, länger als 4 Wochen nur mehr keine 1 % bis sie eine erste Rückmeldung auf die Bewerbung erhalten.</p> <p>Und wie lang darf der gesamte Prozess sein, also vom Eintreffen der Bewerbung bis zur Vertragsunterschrift? Zwei Drittel (64 %) der 1.000 Befragten sagen: zwischen zwei und vier Wochen. Knapp ein Drittel (29 %) findet, es darf zwischen vier und sechs Wochen dauern. Sechs bis acht Wochen würden immerhin noch 6 % der Befragten auf den neuen Job warten. Länger als 8 Wochen aber nur mehr 1 %.</p> <p><b>Bewerber suchen gerne aktiv, genießen aber auch eine aktive Ansprache von Unternehmen </b><br /> Bei ihrer Jobsuche mögen es die Menschen in Österreich vielfältig: Je nach Lebenslage und Dringlichkeit des Jobwechsels pflegen sie unterschiedliche Zugänge und lassen sich schon mal gerne von Recruitern ansprechen. So lässt sich knapp ein Fünftel der 1.000 Befragten (19 %) lieber mittels Active Sourcing vom Unternehmen finden, als selbst nach einem Job Ausschau zu halten. Es ist schmeichelhaft, denn es bedeutet oft, dass das Unternehmen speziell an ihnen und ihren Fähigkeiten und Erfahrungen interessiert ist. Knapp zwei Drittel (31 %) machen die Jobsuche von ihrer aktuellen Lebenssituation abhängig: Ist der Jobwechsel dringend, greifen sie selbst zur Bewerbung. Andernfalls lassen auch sie sich gerne finden. 38 % starten ihre Jobsuche gerne selbst, da sie so gezielt nach für sie attraktiven Positionen und Unternehmen suchen können.</p> <p><b>9 Dinge, die Arbeitgeber besser machen können</b><br /> Immerhin: 19 % der Befragten in Österreich waren mit ihren bisherigen Bewerbungserfahrung zufrieden. Doch was könnten Unternehmen im Umkehrschluss besser machen? Das sind die größten Störfaktoren bei der Jobsuche:</p> <ol> <li>Fehlende Rückmeldungen (44 %)</li> <li>Lange Wartezeiten (32 %)</li> <li>Intransparente Gehaltsangaben (28 %)</li> <li>Aufwändige und langwierige Bewerbungsprozesse (26 %).</li> <li>Unrealistische Anforderungen seitens der Unternehmen im Hinblick auf fachliche Qualifikationen (26 %)</li> <li>Eine unpersönliche Kommunikation, zum Beispiel mit automatisierten Antworten oder standardisierten Absagen (23 %)</li> <li>Unklare Stellenanzeigen (23 %)</li> <li>Fehlende Informationen zu Unternehmenskultur bzw. eine unauthentische Unternehmenskultur (14 %)</li> <li>Technische Probleme bei Online-Bewerbungen (8 %)</li> </ol> <p><br /> „Ghosting ist auch im Recruiting keine angenehme Erfahrung – im Gegenteil: Unternehmen investieren erheblich in ihre Recruitingprozesse und setzen große Hoffnungen auf passende Kandidaten“, erklärt Sandra Bascha. „Gerade im Kontext des Fachkräftemangels ist es wichtiger denn je, dass Recruiter gezielt darauf eingehen, was Bewerber im Prozess stört, um diese zu halten.
