El planteamiento metodológico es cuali-cuantitativo. Se recurre a las bases de datos de Nielsen y IMDb para recabar evidencias de las preferencias del público mediante ingresos de taquilla y número de búsquedas. Complementa este estudio el análisis de contenido de las 10 películas de Pixar, con personajes mayores, producidas entre 1995 y 2023. Los indicadores atendidos son: N.º y tipo de personajes, rol, contexto, emoción prevalente, etapa narrativa y lección de vida. Los resultados revelan la presencia de mayores en el 37% de las producciones de Pixar con recurrencia en las recientes. Se constata la pervivencia de ciertos estereotipos negativos asociados a la vejez, aunque destaca la diversidad de roles y el surgimiento del rol de mujer mayor profesional. Predomina la ira en los comienzos de la trama que evoluciona hacia una marcada disposición al cambio positivo, si en el entorno encuentran escucha y respeto a su experiencia, aspectos que propician el El planteamiento metodológico es cuali-cuantitativo. Se recurre a las bases de datos de Nielsen y IMDb para recabar evidencias de las preferencias del público mediante ingresos de taquilla y número de búsquedas. Complementa este estudio el análisis de contenido de las 10 películas de Pixar, con personajes mayores, producidas entre 1995 y 2023. Los indicadores atendidos son: N.º y tipo de personajes, rol, contexto, emoción prevalente, etapa narrativa y lección de vida. Los resultados revelan la presencia de mayores en el 37% de las producciones de Pixar con recurrencia en las recientes. Se constata la pervivencia de ciertos estereotipos negativos asociados a la vejez, aunque destaca la diversidad de roles y el surgimiento del rol de mujer mayor profesional. Predomina la ira en los comienzos de la trama que evoluciona hacia una marcada disposición al cambio positivo, si en el entorno encuentran escucha y respeto a su experiencia, aspectos que propician el
