όπου οι ψηφιακές τεχνολογίες παίζουν κεντρικό ρόλο στην καθημερινότητα των πολιτών, μικροί πάροχοι τηλεπικοινωνιών και κοινοτικά δίκτυα παρέχουν την ευκαιρία σύνδεσης στο Ίντερνετ για όσους είναι ψηφιακά απομονωμένοι. Οι φορείς αυτοί συμβάλλουν στην ενίσχυση της ψηφιακής γνώσης και χειραφέτησης των πολιτών.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Ωστόσο, ορισμένοι κανονισμοί στο νέο κώδικα τηλεπικοινωνιών της ΕΕ δύνανται να εγείρουν σημαντικά εμπόδια για τη βιωσιμότητα των κοινοτικών δικτύων. Έτσι, αντί να δούμε τα δίκτυα αυτά να επεκτείνονται, κάτι που είναι εξαιρετικά απαραίτητο στις μέρες μας, υπάρχει ο κίνδυνος να γίνουμε μάρτυρες μιας συρρίκνωσης και τελικά εξαφάνισής τους.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Παγκόσμιοι οργανισμοί όπως το <a href="https://www.internetsociety.org" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Internet Society</a> (ISOC) και ευρωπαϊκά ερευνητικά προγράμματα όπως το NGI (Ίντερνετ της επόμενης γενιάς) έχουν αναγνωρίσει τη σημασία και αξία των κοινοτικών δικτύων και προσπαθούν διαρκώς να τα υποστηρίξουν μέσω διαφόρων εξειδικευμένων προγραμμάτων οικονομικής ενίσχυσης. Αυτά, ωστόσο, δεν αρκούν. Επιβάλλεται παράλληλα να σχεδιαστούν και να εφαρμοστούν συγκεκριμένες πολιτικές και κανονισμοί σε θεσμικό επίπεδο.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Σε συνέχεια της προγραμματισμένης <a href="/el/nea/diethnes-synedrio-sto-sarantaporo-oikodomontas-tin-koinotita-sta-koinotika-diktya">διήμερης επίσκεψης</a> στο ασύρματο κοινοτικό δίκτυο Sarantaporo.gr, η δημόσια εκδήλωση που διοργανώνεται από το ευρωπαϊκό πρόγραμμα Horizon2020 <a href="https://netcommons.eu" target="_blank" rel="noopener">netCommons</a> την Δευτέρα, 9 Ιουλίου 2018 και ώρα 18:30 - 21:00 στο <a href="https://athens.impacthub.net/en/the-impact-hub" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Impact Hub</a>, Καραϊσκάκη 28, 105 54, Αθήνα, φέρνει στο ίδιο τραπέζι διεθνείς εμπειρογνώμονες και τοπικούς συμμετέχοντες για να οικοδομήσουν μια καλύτερη κατανόηση του κρίσιμου ρόλου και των αναγκών των μικρών παρόχων και των κοινοτικών δικτύων και να διερευνήσουν πως μπορεί να τους επηρεάσει ο νέος κώδικας τηλεπικοινωνιών της ΕΕ, καθώς και ποια προληπτικά μέτρα μπορούν να ληφθούν σήμερα.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Το κοινό θα έχει τη δυνατότητα να ενημερωθεί για το μοντέλο των κοινοτικών δικτύων και το παγκόσμιο κίνημα που το υποστηρίζει, καθώς και για το τρέχον νομικό και κανονιστικό πλαίσιο της Ελλάδας ως μέλος της ΕΕ το οποίο τα επηρεάζει.
