<span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>then it shall be, when<MH3588> he sins<MH2398> and becomes<MH816> guilty<MH816>, that he shall restore<MH7725> what<MH834> he took<MH1497> by<MH1497> robbery<MH1497> or<MH176> acquired<MH6231> by extortion<MH6233>, or<MH176> the deposit<MH6487> which<MH834> was <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[b]</a></span>entrusted<MH6485> to him, or<MH176> the lost<MH9> property<MH9> which<MH834> he found<MH4672>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>or<MH176> anything<MH3605> about which<MH834> he swore<MH7650> falsely<MH8267>; he shall make<MH7999a> restitution<MH7999a> for it <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>in full<MH7218> and add<MH3254> to it a fifth<MH2549> more<MH3254>. He shall give<MH5414> it to the one to whom<MH834> it belongs on the day<MH3117> <i>he presents</i> his guilt<MH819> offering<MH819>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>Then he shall bring<MH935> to the priest<MH3548> his guilt<MH817> offering<MH817> to the LORD<MH3068>, a ram<MH352a> without<MH8549> defect<MH8549> from the flock<MH6629>, according to your assessment<MH6187>, as a guilt<MH817> offering<MH817>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>and the priest<MH3548> shall make<MH3722a> atonement<MH3722a> for him before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>, and he will be forgiven<MH5545> for any<MH259> one<MH259> of the things which<MH834> he may have done<MH6213a> to incur<MH819> guilt<MH819>.” <p class="hdg">The Priest’s Part in the Offerings</p><p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span><span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>Then the LORD<MH3068> spoke<MH1696> to Moses<MH4872>, saying<MH559>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>“Command<MH6680> Aaron<MH175> and his sons<MH1121>, saying<MH559>, ‘This<MH2088> is the law<MH8451> for the burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a>: the burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a> itself<MH1931> <i>shall remain</i> on the hearth<MH4169> on the altar<MH4196> all<MH3605> night<MH3915> until<MH5704> the morning<MH1242>, and the fire<MH784> on the altar<MH4196> is to be kept burning<MH3344> on it. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>The priest<MH3548> is to put<MH3847> on<MH3847> his linen<MH906> robe<MH4055>, and he shall put<MH3847> on<MH3847> linen<MH906> undergarments<MH4370> next<MH5921> to his <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>body<MH1320>; and he shall take<MH7311> up<MH7311> the fatty<MH1880> ashes<MH1880> <i>to</i> which<MH834> the fire<MH784> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>reduces<MH398> the burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a> on the altar<MH4196> and place<MH7760> them beside<MH681a> the altar<MH4196>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>Then he shall take<MH6584> off<MH6584> his garments<MH899b> and put<MH3847> on<MH3847> other<MH312> garments<MH899b>, and carry<MH3318> the fatty<MH1880> ashes<MH1880> outside<MH413, 4480, 2351> the camp<MH4264> to a clean<MH2889> place<MH4725>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>The fire<MH784> on the altar<MH4196> shall be kept burning<MH3344> on it. It shall not go<MH3518> out<MH3518>, but the priest<MH3548> shall burn<MH1197a> wood<MH6086> on it every<MH1242> morning<MH1242>; and he shall lay<MH6186a> out<MH6186a> the burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a> on it, and offer<MH6999> up<MH6999> in<MH6999> smoke<MH6999> the fat<MH2459> portions<MH2459> of the peace<MH8002> offerings<MH8002> on it. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>Fire<MH784> shall be kept burning<MH3344> continually<MH8548> on the altar<MH4196>; it is not to go<MH3518> out<MH3518>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>‘Now this<MH2088> is the law<MH8451> of the grain offering<MH4503>: the sons<MH1121> of Aaron<MH175> shall present<MH7126> it before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068> in front<MH6440> of the altar<MH4196>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>Then one <i>of them</i> shall lift<MH7311> up<MH7311> from it a handful<MH7062> of the fine<MH5560> flour<MH5560> of the grain offering<MH4503>, <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>with its oil<MH8081> and all<MH3605> the incense<MH3828> that is on the grain offering<MH4503>, and he shall offer<MH6999> <i>it</i> up<MH6999> in<MH6999> smoke<MH6999> on the altar<MH4196>, a soothing<MH5207> aroma<MH7381b>, as its memorial<MH234> offering<MH234> to the LORD<MH3068>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>And Aaron<MH175> and his sons<MH1121> are to eat<MH398> what is left<MH3498> of it. It shall be eaten<MH398> as unleavened<MH4682> cakes<MH4682> in a holy<MH6918> place<MH4725>; they are to eat<MH398> it in the courtyard<MH2691a> of the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>It shall not be baked<MH644> with leaven<MH2557>. I have given<MH5414> it as their share<MH2506> from My offerings<MH801> by<MH801> fire<MH801>; it is most<MH6944> holy<MH6944>, like the sin<MH2403b> offering<MH2403b> and the guilt<MH817> offering<MH817>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>Every<MH3605> male<MH2145> among the sons<MH1121> of Aaron<MH175> may eat<MH398> it; it is a permanent<MH5769> ordinance<MH2706> throughout your generations<MH1755>, from the offerings<MH801> by<MH801> fire<MH801> to the LORD<MH3068>. <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>Whoever<MH3605, 834> touches<MH5060> them <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>will become<MH6942> consecrated<MH6942>.’” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>Then the LORD<MH3068> spoke<MH1696> to Moses<MH4872>, saying<MH559>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>“This<MH2088> is the offering<MH7133a> which<MH834> Aaron<MH175> and his sons<MH1121> are to present<MH7126> to the LORD<MH3068> on the day<MH3117> when he is anointed<MH4886>; the tenth<MH6224> of an <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>ephah<MH374> of fine<MH5560> flour<MH5560> as a <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[k]</a></span>regular<MH8548> grain offering<MH4503>, half<MH4276> of it in the morning<MH1242> and half<MH4276> of it in the evening<MH6153>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>It shall be prepared<MH6213a> with oil<MH8081> on a griddle<MH4227>. When it is <i>well</i> stirred<MH7246>, you shall bring<MH935> it. You shall present<MH7126> the grain offering<MH4503> in baked<MH8601> pieces<MH6595> as a soothing<MH5207> aroma<MH7381b> to the LORD<MH3068>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>The anointed<MH4899> priest<MH3548> who will be in<MH8478> his place<MH8478> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[l]</a></span>among<MH4480> his sons<MH1121> shall <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[m]</a></span>offer<MH6213a> it. By a permanent<MH5769> ordinance<MH2706> it shall be entirely<MH3632> offered<MH6999> up<MH6999> in<MH6999> smoke<MH6999> to the LORD<MH3068>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>So every<MH3605> grain offering<MH4503> of the priest<MH3548> shall be burned<MH3632> entirely<MH3632>. It shall not be eaten<MH398>.” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>Then the LORD<MH3068> spoke<MH1696> to Moses<MH4872>, saying<MH559>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span>“Speak<MH1696> to Aaron<MH175> and to his sons<MH1121>, saying<MH559>, ‘This<MH2088> is the law<MH8451> of the sin<MH2403b> offering<MH2403b>: in the place<MH4725> where<MH834> the burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a> is slaughtered<MH7819>, the sin<MH2403b> offering<MH2403b> shall be slaughtered<MH7819> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>; it is most<MH6944> holy<MH6944>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/6-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span>The priest<MH3548> who offers<MH2398> it for<MH2398> sin<MH2398> shall eat<MH398> it.
