Finding 1: Unauthenticated and un-privileged access to the BC Collected Information Export module Credit: Tom Neaves of Trustwave SpiderLabs CVE: CVE-2014-2552 CWE: CWE-264 It is possible to access the BC Collected Information Export module directly as an unauthenticated and un-privileged user. The BC Collected Information Export (BCCIE) module contains a collection of all the information entered into forms on a website, downloadable as CSV files. Depending on the context of the site, this could result in sensitive information being disclosed. Vulnerable Location: http://victim/bccie/overview Directly clicking on any of the items will result in "Access Denied" however clicking on "Export" will take the user to another page where they may then proceed to download a CSV. Remediation Steps: According to Brookins Consulting, commit d11811baccf265ff567dddca03cac70b65838a4f (https://github.com/brookinsconsulting/bccie/commit/d11811baccf265ff567dddca03cac70b65838a4f) mitigates this vulnerability. However, Trustwave SpiderLabs have not verified this fix.
