unveiled collinear compensated magnetic order, capable of hosting spin-polarized electronic bands and facilitating spin-polarized currents. This emerging class complements the well-established categories of collinear magnets, namely ferro- and ferrimagnets, and antiferromagnets, while it is delimited from the former through the application of spin space symmetries. Given that altermagnets not only combine the advantages of both ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic materials but also open new possibilities, the prediction of their theoretical framework and subsequent experimental validation has captured the interest of the research community. This growing research field is pushing the frontiers of condensed matter magnetism with dynamic growth across diverse fronts, spanning from material research to spintronics and superconductivity.</p> <p>The objective of this conference is to establish a comprehensive platform for the discourse of recent advancements in altermagnetism and its intersections with various areas of condensed matter physics.
