Are there significant differences between the standard plagiarism check softwares and your product?<br><br><em>Our innovative plagiarism detection tool is differentiated by its integration of the top technology and award-winning detection tools in the industry. This allows us to check for plagiarism in over 100 languages using advanced AI to detect the slightest variations within the text, including hidden and manipulated characters, paraphrasing, and AI-generated content.</em><br><br></p> <p> </p> <h2>Questions about integrity policies and thresholds</h2> <p>1. What is your threshold for over-citation, especially when in some fields there are relatively few major scholars.  How do you arrive at this criterion?<br><br><em>There’s so much variation between research disciplines, so it is very important that publishers set their own thresholds. The checks in our Integrity Manager are tools for editorial teams to review and add their own context to the situation. Passed checks are not the same thing as an acceptance, and failed checks are not the same thing as an article rejection. The thresholds set within our standard offering are based on the average thresholds across disciplines. </em><br><br>2. How do you detect the type of plagiarism that is stealing the idea of another research, not the exact words and phrases?<br><br><em>There are many types of research misconduct that are much harder to detect than plagiarism, like what you’re describing in your question, or things like image manipulation. Today, this level of nuance still requires human review and the proactive efforts of authors to advocate for their work. However, we see a lot of potential in AI tools to analyze entire disciplines and create knowledge networks. Harnessing the power of those networks will help trace the evolution of ideas, and will make it easier to establish provenance for breakthroughs. </em></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"> </p> <h2>Questions about access</h2> <p style="text-align: justify;">1.
