Stahlpfosten beim Brückenbau, werden in Formen gegossen und kühlen anschließend ab, damit man sie verbauen kann. Beim Abkühlen von Metallen verändern diese ihre Struktur. Ihr Aggregatzustand wandelt sich von flüssig zu fest um. Dies nennt man Kristallisation. Dabei wird die so genannte <strong>Kristallisationswärme</strong> frei, was den Abkühlungsprozess verlangsamt und sogar umkehrt. Kennt man den Abkühlprozess nicht genau genug, kann dies beim Gießen zu defekten Produkten führen, sodass sie weniger stabil sind.<br /> Für die Firma RWP GmbH<sup>1</sup> (Richter Weiß und Partner) ist es deshalb wichtig beim Gießen von Metallen</p> <ul> <li>die Temperatur und den Zeitpunkt der Kristallisation zu kennen und</li> <li>die frei werdende Energiemenge zu bestimmen.</li> </ul> <p>Zum Lösen dieser beiden Teilprobleme werden die Integration und die Differentiation benötigt.
