} </script> <script src="//translate.google.com/translate_a/element.js?cb=googleTranslateElementInit"></script> </ul> </div> </nav> <div class="container-fluid bg-grey"> <div class="container pt-3 pb-4"> <div class="white-container mt-4"> <h2 class="bg-hdr">Influence of microalloying elements addition on the corrosion behaviour of heat treated and LASER treated carbon steels in concrete environment.</h2> <p style="padding-top: 8px;"><span lang="IT">The influnence of addition of Vanadium and Titanium microalloying elements on  the corrosion resistance of heat treated and LASER surface treated Carbon steels in saturated </span><span lang="IT">Ca(OH)<sub>2</sub> </span><span lang="IT">solution in addition to chloride ions addition has been investigated.</span><span lang="IT">  </span><span lang="IT">Two heat treatment processes were implemented for the examined Carbon steel samples at 900°C and 1200°C, in addition to LASER surface hardening is also applied in order to illustrate/compare the effect of the LASER application on the steel making. Corrosion rates are calculated after heat treatment processes in saturated Calcium Hydroxide solution at pH 12 in presence of Sodium Chloride by using </span><span lang="IT">Optical microscope examination , </span><span lang="IT">weigth change , Potentiodynamic Polarization </span><span lang="IT">, </span><span lang="IT">X-ray Diffraction</span><span lang="IT"> (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) examination.</span><sub><span lang="IT"> </span></sub><span lang="IT">The grain refinment and precipitation strengthening  play an important role in an improvement of the corrosion
