of <i>Accountability Matters</i>.</p><p>As this issue rolls off the virtual presses, two dozen independent accountability mechanisms have just concluded their annual gathering at the headquarters of the Asian Development Bank in Metro Manila. The IAMnet Annual Meetings, facilitated by the Secretariat that was held for the last two years by the World Bank Accountability Mechanism, also featured a day of interactions with civil society. In early 2025, the <a href="https://accountability.worldbank.org/en/iamnet" target="_blank">IAMnet</a> Secretariat will be passed on to the Accountability Mechanism of the Asian Development Bank. We will in the meantime be busy completing remaining tasks and preparing for a smooth handover. He shared his reflections on accountability in this issue of <i>Accountability Matters</i>.
