Who has rivaled you? For behold, The Fashioner was portrayed * before your eyes, Yeshua The Messiah, when he was crucified.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-2.htm"><b>2</b></a></span><span class="spcl">This only I wish to know of you: Did you receive The Spirit by the works of The Written Law or by the hearing of faith?</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Are you so foolish that you began in The Spirit and now you finish in the flesh?</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Have you endured all these things for nothing? But oh, that it were for nothing!</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Is he, therefore, who gives The Spirit among you, and does miracles among you, of the works of The Written Law, or of the hearing of faith?</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Just as Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness,</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Know therefore that those who are of faith are the children of Abraham.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span><span class="spcl">For because God knew beforehand that the nations are made right by faith, he preached The Good News to Abraham beforehand, as The Holy Scriptures say: "In you shall all the nations be blessed."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span><span class="spcl">So then, believers are blessed with the believer Abraham.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span><span class="spcl">For those who are of the works of The Written Law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who shall not do all that is written in this Law."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But that a man is not made right with God by The Written Law, this is revealed, because it is written: "The just shall live by faith."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But The Written Law was not from faith, but, "Whoever shall do those things that are written in it shall live in them."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But The Messiah has redeemed us from the curse of The Written Law, and he became a curse in our place, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree",</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span><span class="spcl">That the blessing of Abraham would be with the nations by Yeshua The Messiah, and we would receive The Promise of The Spirit by faith.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span><span class="spcl">My brethren, I speak as among men, that a man does not reject or change anything in a man's covenant which has been confirmed.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But The Promise was promised to Abraham and to his seed, and he did not say to him, "To your seeds", as to many, but, "To your seed", as of one, who is The Messiah.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But I say this: The Covenant which was confirmed from the first by God in The Messiah, The Written Law which was four hundred and thirty years afterward, cannot cast off and cancel The Promise.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But if the inheritance is by The Written Law, it would therefore not be from The Promise to Abraham, but God gave it to him by The Promise.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Why therefore is there The Written Law? It was added because of apostasy until The Seed would come to whom The Promise belonged, and The Written Law was given by Angels in the hand of a mediator.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span><span class="spcl">A mediator is not of one, but God is One.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Is therefore The Written Law contrary to The Promise of God? God forbid! For if a law had been given which was able to give life, truly righteousness would have been by The Written Law.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But the Scripture has shut all things up under sin, that The Promise by the faith of Yeshua The Messiah would be given to those who are believers.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But until the faith would come, The Written Law had kept us while we were closed off to the faith that was going to be revealed.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span><span class="spcl">The Written Law was therefore a guide for us to The Messiah that we would be made right by faith.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But when the faith came we were not under a guide.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span><span class="spcl">For you are all children of God by the faith of Yeshua The Messiah.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span><span class="spcl">For those who have been baptized into The Messiah have put on The Messiah.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span><span class="spcl">There is neither Jew nor Aramaean*, neither Servant nor Free person, neither male nor female, for all of you are one in Yeshua The Messiah.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/galatians/3-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And if you are of The Messiah, you are therefore the seed of Abraham and heirs by The Promise.</span><p></div></div><div id="botbox"><div class="padbot"><div align="center"><a href="//www.lulu.com/shop/rev-david-bauscher/the-original-aramaic-new-testament-in-plain-english-with-psalms-proverbs-8th-edition-with-notes/hardcover/product-21273790.html">The Original Aramaic New Testament in Plain English- with Psalms & Proverbs<br>Copyright © 2007; 8th edition Copyright © 2013<br>All rights reserved.
