In the Scriptures, a covenant is a solemn agreement or promise between God and His people, often accompanied by specific obligations and blessings. The Hebrew word for covenant, "berit," and the Greek "diatheke" both convey the idea of a binding agreement.<br><br><b>Old Testament Covenants</b><br><br>1. <b>The Noahic Covenant</b>: After the flood, God established a covenant with Noah and his descendants, promising never to destroy the earth with a flood again.
