Radion selkouutisten arkilähetykset päättyvät 29.12. ja tilalle tulee viikonloppuihin Uutisviikko selkosuomeksi -ohjelma. Taustoittava ajankohtaisohjelma on syntynyt suoraan yleisön toiveesta.</p> <p>Suomenkieliset selkouutiset alkoivat radiossa reilut 30 vuotta sitten. Viime vuosina on kehitetty ennen kaikkea selkokielistä tv-lähetystä ja nyt on radion selkouutisten vuoro. Tammikuusta alkaen julkaistaan joka viikonloppu kaksi selkokielistä Uutisviikko-jaksoa. Toisen aihe valikoituu viikon kovista uutisista, toisen taas pehmeämmistä, esimerkiksi arjen tai kulttuurin aiheista. Painopiste molemmissa jaksoissa on kotimaan asioissa.</p><p>Uuteen ohjelmaan liittyy oleellisesti myös verkkoulottuvuus. Radiossa kuultava lähetys julkaistaan myös <a class="deco-link" href="https://web.archive.org/web/20231215091720/https://yle.fi/selkouutiset">selkouutisten sivuilla</a> sekä audiona että tekstinä. Tekstin perään tulee vielä kysymyksiä, joiden avulla yleisö voi testata, kuinka hyvin lähetystä ymmärsi. Tekstimuotoiset selkouutiset säilyvät myös arkisin. Tv:n selkouutisiin ei myöskään ole luvassa muutoksia.</p><p>”Uuden ohjelman perusajatus – taustoittava ajankohtaisohjelma – on lähtenyt suoraan yleisön toiveista. Arkiuutisissa on ollut tapana kertoa useammasta aiheesta lyhyesti. Tv:n ja radion selkouutiset ovat olleet hyvin samankaltaisia. Nyt radion uudessa selkotuotteessa keskitymme yleisön toiveesta ajankohtaisiin teemoihin tarkemmin”, kuvailee Ylen selkouutisten vastaava tuottaja <strong>Petri Kejonen</strong>.</p><h2 class="ydd-heading-large">Selkokielisistä ohjelmista hyötyy arviolta 750 000 ihmistä Suomessa</h2><p>Selkouutiset on suunnattu ihmisille, joilla on syystä tai toisesta vaikeuksia lukea tai ymmärtää yleiskieltä. Suomessa on arviolta jopa 750 000 ihmistä, jotka hyötyvät selkokielestä. Selkokieli on oleellinen osa saavutettavaa ja kaikki huomioivaa yhteiskuntaa. Selkouutiset on myös keskeinen osa Ylen julkisen palvelun tehtävää ja monipuolista palvelua. Uutiset selkokielellä mukautetaan sisällöltään, sanastoltaan ja rakenteeltaan yleiskieltä ymmärrettävämpään ja luettavampaan muotoon.</p><p>Nykyisin lukemisen vaikeuksia on yhä enemmän myös nuorissa ikäluokissa ja esimerkiksi aivoverenkiertohäiriöt voivat aiheuttaa kielellisiä vaikeuksia kenelle tahansa. Kehitysvammaiset ihmiset kuuluvat selkokielen perinteisiin kohderyhmiin.</p><p>”Muistin, kuulon ja näön ongelmat sekä kognitiiviset pulmat koskettavat aina vain suurempaa määrää suomalaisia, kun väestö ikääntyy. Ylen sisältöjä tehdään saavutettaviksi selkokielen lisäksi viittomakielellä, ohjelma- ja äänitekstityksin sekä kuvailutulkkauksin. Kiinnitämme huomiota myös verkkopalveluiden saavutettavuuteen. Saavutettaviksi tehdyt palvelut ovat välttämättömiä joillekin, mutta hyödyttävät kaikkia”, sanoo Ylen saavutettavuusvastaava <strong>Minna Pöntys</strong>.</p><p>Yle Uutiset selkosuomeksi kertoo uutiset helpolla suomen kielellä joka arkipäivä Yle TV1:ssä klo 16.35.
