As an undergraduate student I wanted to contribute to my chosen profession, then I decided to get involved in the governance structure so i started volunteering with my local section at the time and the rest is history; I was encouraged to participate on non-councilor - required committees and then as councilor I moved on to other committees. To the point now that ACS is my family away from home. Regional and National meetings are a joy to participate in both as a committee member and as a mentor to younger members coming through.
