However, conventional AE methods suffer from deep, variable-length circuits that introduce high output error due to extensive gate usage and variable error rates across samples, resulting in noise-driven inconsistencies that degrade model accuracy. We introduce EnQode, a fast AE technique based on symbolic representation that addresses these limitations by clustering dataset samples and solving for cluster mean states through a low-depth, machine-specific ansatz. Optimized to reduce physical gates and SWAP operations, EnQode ensures all samples face consistent, low noise levels by standardizing circuit depth and composition. With over 90% fidelity in data mapping, EnQode enables robust, high-performance QML on noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) devices. Our open-source solution provides a scalable and efficient alternative for integrating classical data with quantum models. <a class="is-size-7" style="white-space: nowrap;" onclick="document.getElementById('2503.14473v1-abstract-full').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('2503.14473v1-abstract-short').style.display = 'inline';">△ Less</a> </span> </p> <p class="is-size-7"><span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Submitted</span> 18 March, 2025; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">originally announced</span> March 2025. </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Comments:</span> <span class="has-text-grey-dark mathjax">EnQode will appear in the Proceedings of the Design Automation Conference (DAC), 2025</span> </p> </li> <li class="arxiv-result"> <div class="is-marginless"> <p class="list-title is-inline-block"><a href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2412.07181">arXiv:2412.07181</a> <span> [<a href="https://arxiv.org/pdf/2412.07181">pdf</a>, <a href="https://arxiv.org/format/2412.07181">other</a>] </span> </p> <div class="tags is-inline-block"> <span class="tag is-small is-link tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="Quantum Physics">quant-ph</span> <span class="tag is-small is-grey tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="Emerging Technologies">cs.ET</span> </div> </div> <p class="title is-5 mathjax"> Modeling and Simulating Rydberg Atom Quantum Computers for Hardware-Software Co-design with PachinQo </p> <p class="authors"> <span class="search-hit">Authors:</span> <a href="/search/quant-ph?searchtype=author&query=Ludmir%2C+J+Z">Jason Zev Ludmir</a>, <a href="/search/quant-ph?searchtype=author&query=Huo%2C+Y">Yuqian Huo</a>, <a href="/search/quant-ph?searchtype=author&query=DiBrita%2C+N+S">Nicholas S. Recently, Rydberg atom quantum computing has emerged as a promising quantum computing technology, especially with the demonstration of the zonal addressing architecture. However, this demonstration is only compatible with one type of quantum algorithm, and extending it to compile and execute general quantum algorithms is a challenge. To address it, we propose PachinQo, a framework to co-design the architecture and compilation for zonal addressing systems for any given quantum algorithm. PachinQo's evaluation demonstrates its ability to improve a quantum algorithm's estimated probability of success by 45% on average in error-prone quantum environments. <a class="is-size-7" style="white-space: nowrap;" onclick="document.getElementById('2412.07181v1-abstract-full').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('2412.07181v1-abstract-short').style.display = 'inline';">△ Less</a> </span> </p> <p class="is-size-7"><span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Submitted</span> 9 December, 2024; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">originally announced</span> December 2024. </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Comments:</span> <span class="has-text-grey-dark mathjax">25 pages, 20 figures, ACM SIGMETRICS 2025</span> </p> </li> <li class="arxiv-result"> <div class="is-marginless"> <p class="list-title is-inline-block"><a href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2408.13389">arXiv:2408.13389</a> <span> [<a href="https://arxiv.org/pdf/2408.13389">pdf</a>, <a href="https://arxiv.org/format/2408.13389">other</a>] </span> </p> <div class="tags is-inline-block"> <span class="tag is-small is-link tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="Quantum Physics">quant-ph</span> <span class="tag is-small is-grey tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition">cs.CV</span> <span class="tag is-small is-grey tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="Emerging Technologies">cs.ET</span> </div> <div class="is-inline-block" style="margin-left: 0.5rem"> <div class="tags has-addons"> <span class="tag is-dark is-size-7">doi</span> <span class="tag is-light is-size-7"><a class="" href="https://doi.org/10.1145/3676536.3676697">10.1145/3676536.3676697 <i class="fa fa-external-link" aria-hidden="true"></i></a></span> </div> </div> </div> <p class="title is-5 mathjax"> ReCon: Reconfiguring Analog Rydberg Atom Quantum Computers for Quantum Generative Adversarial Networks </p> <p class="authors"> <span class="search-hit">Authors:</span> <a href="/search/quant-ph?searchtype=author&query=DiBrita%2C+N+S">Nicholas S. While quantum computers have been implemented with different types of technologies, recently, analog Rydberg atom quantum computers have been demonstrated to have desirable properties such as reconfigurable qubit (quantum bit) positions and multi-qubit operations. To leverage the properties of this technology, we propose ReCon, the first work to implement quantum GANs on analog Rydberg atom quantum computers. Our evaluation using simulations and real-computer executions shows 33% better quality (measured using Frechet Inception Distance (FID)) in generated images than the state-of-the-art technique implemented on superconducting-qubit technology. <a class="is-size-7" style="white-space: nowrap;" onclick="document.getElementById('2408.13389v2-abstract-full').style.display = 'none'; document.getElementById('2408.13389v2-abstract-short').style.display = 'inline';">△ Less</a> </span> </p> <p class="is-size-7"><span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Submitted</span> 9 October, 2024; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">v1</span> submitted 23 August, 2024; <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">originally announced</span> August 2024. </p> <p class="comments is-size-7"> <span class="has-text-black-bis has-text-weight-semibold">Comments:</span> <span class="has-text-grey-dark mathjax">ReCon will appear in the Proceedings of the International Conference on Computer-Aided Design (ICCAD), 2024</span> </p> </li> <li class="arxiv-result"> <div class="is-marginless"> <p class="list-title is-inline-block"><a href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2301.07161">arXiv:2301.07161</a> <span> [<a href="https://arxiv.org/pdf/2301.07161">pdf</a>, <a href="https://arxiv.org/ps/2301.07161">ps</a>, <a href="https://arxiv.org/format/2301.07161">other</a>] </span> </p> <div class="tags is-inline-block"> <span class="tag is-small is-link tooltip is-tooltip-top" data-tooltip="Quantum Physics">quant-ph</span> </div> <div class="is-inline-block" style="margin-left: 0.5rem"> <div class="tags has-addons"> <span class="tag is-dark is-size-7">doi</span> <span class="tag is-light is-size-7"><a class="" href="https://doi.org/10.1119/5.0119906">10.1119/5.0119906 <i class="fa fa-external-link" aria-hidden="true"></i></a></span> </div> </div> </div> <p class="title is-5 mathjax"> An Easier-To-Align Hong-Ou-Mandel Interference Demonstration </p> <p class="authors"> <span class="search-hit">Authors:</span> <a href="/search/quant-ph?searchtype=author&query=DiBrita%2C+N+S">Nicholas S. This experiment involves the interference of two photons reaching a symmetric beamsplitter. When the photons are made indistinguishable in all possible ways, an interference of quantum amplitudes results in both photons always leaving the same beamsplitter output port. Thus, a scan of distinguishable parameters, such as the arrival time difference of the photons reaching the beamsplitter, produces a dip in the coincidences measured at the outputs of the beamsplitter. The main challenge for its implementation as an undergraduate laboratory is the alignment of the photon paths at the beamsplitter. We overcome this difficulty by using a pre-aligned commercial fiber-coupled beamsplitter. In addition, we use waveplates to vary the distinguishability of the photons by their state of polarization. We present a theoretical description at the introductory quantum mechanics level of the two types of experiments, plus a discussion of the apparatus alignment and list of parts needed. <a
