A\nquestionnaire survey was administered to 120 UiTM contractors in\nMalaysia. The purpose of this method was to gather information on\nthe contractors- project background and project management skills. It\nwas found that all of the contractors had basic knowledge and\nunderstanding of project management skills. It is suggested that a\nreasonable project plan and an appropriate organizational structure\nare influential factors for project success. It is recommended that the\ncontractors need to have an effective program of work and up to date\ninformation system are emphasized.","references":"[1] Isik, Z (2009), A conceptual performance measurement framework for\nconstruction industry, Unpublished PhD Thesis METU\n[2] Chartered Institute of Building (2005),UK.\n[3] Pinto, M.B., Pinto, J.K.(1991) Determinants of cross-functional\ncooperation in the project implementation process.
