During the first three weeks of January 2011, SKY-MAP received over 1.5 million visitors from 190 countries.</p><p>The constant increase in traffic has made our servers slow and unstable and our environment has become insufficient. With such servers, it is almost impossible to upgrade the system with the new sets of astronomical data and we don’t have enough power to process all the Internet requests.</p><p>We urgently need to replace our two 6-years old servers. According to our calculations, $14,000US would be sufficient for us to purchase two new dual 6-core CPU servers.
