end of twenty years, Solomon built the house of LORD JEHOVAH and the house of his kingdom. <A name="3"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_chronicles/8-2.htm#aramaic"><b>2</b></a></span>And the cities that Khiram gave to Solomon, Solomon built them and he settled the children of Israel in them.<p> <A name="4"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_chronicles/8-3.htm#aramaic"><b>3</b></a></span>And Solomon went on to Antioch, and he encamped against it and he destroyed it. <A name="5"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_chronicles/8-4.htm#aramaic"><b>4</b></a></span>And he built Tadmur that was desolate as the wilderness, and all the cities of granaries. <A name="6"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_chronicles/8-5.htm#aramaic"><b>5</b></a></span>And he built Upper Bayth Khuran and Lower Bayth Khuran <A name="7"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_chronicles/8-6.htm#aramaic"><b>6</b></a></span>And all these cities of granaries that were Solomon&#8217;s, and the cities of chariots and the cities of horsemen, and all the lust of Solomon who was lusting to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his authority<p> <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_chronicles/8-7.htm#aramaic"><b>7</b></a></span>And all the people that are left of the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Khivites and the Yebusites who were not from the children of Israel <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_chronicles/8-8.htm#aramaic"><b>8</b></a></span>Their children that are left over after them in the land whom the sons of Israel were unable to destroy, Solomon made them to be Servants and Laborers and raisers of taxes for him until today. <A name="10"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_chronicles/8-9.htm#aramaic"><b>9</b></a></span>And Solomon did not make Servants of the children of Israel in his kingdom, because they were men who were wagers of war, and Commanders of his chariots and his horsemen. <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_chronicles/8-10.htm#aramaic"><b>10</b></a></span>And these Rulers and Governors who were ruling for Solomon were two hundred and fifty who were putting the people to work who were doing the work.<p> <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_chronicles/8-11.htm#aramaic"><b>11</b></a></span>However, Solomon had brought up the daughter of Pharaoh from the city of David to the house that he built for her, because he had said: &#8220;The woman shall not dwell with me in the house of David King of Israel, because what I brought, the Ark of LORD JEHOVAH, is holy.&#8221;<p> <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_chronicles/8-12.htm#aramaic"><b>12</b></a></span>Then Solomon was bringing sacrifices to LORD JEHOVAH, and peace offerings on the altar of LORD JEHOVAH that he built before the porch. <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_chronicles/8-13.htm#aramaic"><b>13</b></a></span>And he was offering up a fixed number every day by day, according to the commandment of Moshe, on the Sabbaths and at the feasts three times in a year, in the Feast of Unleavened Bread and at the Feast of the Fast and at the Feast of Tabernacles<p> <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_chronicles/8-14.htm#aramaic"><b>14</b></a></span>According to the law of David his father, the Priests at their occupations and the Levites to sing at their watches, and a fixed number of Priests to minister, day by each day, and the doorkeepers according to their rule that they will be guarding the doors every day by day, because thus David, King of Israel, commanded, who arose in the kingdom from before LORD JEHOVAH. <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_chronicles/8-15.htm#aramaic"><b>15</b></a></span>And he did turn aside from anything that the King commanded him concerning the Priests, and concerning the Levites, and concerning all the ministry of the house.<p> <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_chronicles/8-16.htm#aramaic"><b>16</b></a></span>And all the works of Solomon were set in order from the day that he laid the foundation of the house of LORD JEHOVAH, until the day that he finished all its work.<p> <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_chronicles/8-17.htm#aramaic"><b>17</b></a></span>Then Solomon had gone to ItsinuGeber the city that is opposite Eluth, on the shore of the sea in the land of Edom. <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_chronicles/8-18.htm#aramaic"><b>18</b></a></span>And Khiram sent his Servants, the Mariner men in ships who know to drive a ship at sea with the Servants of Solomon, and they went to Uphir the city, and they took from there four hundred talents of gold and they brought it to King Solomon.
