class="mb-15"><strong>Inlays and Onlays</strong> are dental restorations used to repair damaged or decayed teeth. They are made of pure porcelain or composite resin and are designed to fit into the gap or cavity in the tooth perfectly. Inlays are used to restore teeth that have damage inside the cusps (rounded areas on the top of the tooth), while onlays are used to repair the damage that extends to the points of the tooth. Inlays and Onlays are an alternative to traditional dental fillings and are often used when the damage to the tooth is too significant for a filling but not severe enough to require a crown.</p> <p class="mb-15">Inlays and Onlays are created using computer-aided design (CAD) software, and a machine called a CAD/CAM <strong>(computer-aided manufacturing)</strong> system. The dentist will take an impression of the affected tooth, and the Inlays or Onlays are designed and fabricated using the <strong>CAD/CAM</strong> system to ensure a precise fit. The inlay or onlay is then bonded to the tooth using a strong adhesive. <strong>Inlays and Onlays</strong> are durable and can last many years with proper care.
