In 1973, Chen Jingrun proved that each odd number can be shown by one prime plus a number that has maximum two primes. In this article, we state one proof for Goldbach’conjecture. Introduction: Bertrand’s postulate state for every positive integer n, there is always at least one prime p, such that n < p < 2n. This was first proved by Chebyshev in 1850, which is why postulate is also called the Bertrand-Chebyshev theorem. Legendre’s conjecture states that there is a prime between n2 and (n+1)2 for every positive integer n, which is one of the four Landau’s problems. The rest of these four basic problems are; (i) Twin prime conjecture: There are infinitely many primes p such that p+2 is a prime. (ii) Goldbach’s conjecture: Every even integer n > 2 can be written asthe sum of two primes. (iii) Are there infinitely many primes p such that p−1 is a perfect square? Problems (i), (ii), and (iii) are open till date. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bertrand-Chebyshev%20theorem" title="Bertrand-Chebyshev theorem">Bertrand-Chebyshev theorem</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Landau%E2%80%99s%20problems" title=" Landau’s problems"> Landau’s problems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=twin%20prime" title=" twin prime"> twin prime</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Legendre%E2%80%99s%20conjecture" title=" Legendre’s conjecture"> Legendre’s conjecture</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Oppermann%E2%80%99s%20conjecture" title=" Oppermann’s conjecture"> Oppermann’s conjecture</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/30678/a-proof-for-goldbachs-conjecture" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/30678.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">402</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6254</span> Fokas-Lenells Equation Conserved Quantities and Landau-Lifshitz System</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Riki%20Dutta">Riki Dutta</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sagardeep%20Talukdar"> Sagardeep Talukdar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Gautam%20Kumar%20Saharia"> Gautam Kumar Saharia</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sudipta%20Nandy"> Sudipta Nandy</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Fokas-Lenells equation (FLE) is one of the integrable nonlinear equations use to describe the propagation of ultrashort optical pulses in an optical medium. It is performed to study the effect of heat and mass transfer by deriving Ginzburg-Landau equation. Heat and mass transfer are quantified in terms of Nusselt number and Sherwood numbers, which are obtained as a function of thermal and solute Rayleigh numbers. The obtained Ginzburg-Landau equation is Bernoulli equation, and it has been elucidated numerically by using Mathematica. The effects of couple stress parameter, solute Rayleigh numbers, and Taylor number on the onset of convection and heat and mass transfer have been examined. It is found that the effects of couple stress parameter and Taylor number are to stabilize the system and to increase the heat and mass transfer. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=couple%20stress%20liquid" title="couple stress liquid">couple stress liquid</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ginzburg-Landau%20model" title=" Ginzburg-Landau model"> Ginzburg-Landau model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=rotation" title=" rotation"> rotation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=triple%20diffusive%20convection" title=" triple diffusive convection"> triple diffusive convection</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/67604/heat-and-mass-transfer-of-triple-diffusive-convection-in-a-rotating-couple-stress-liquid-using-ginzburg-landau-model" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/67604.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">337</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6252</span> Constructing the Density of States from the Parallel Wang Landau Algorithm Overlapping Data</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Arman%20S.%20Kussainov">Arman S. The Ising and Pott models were used as the examples of the two-dimensional spin lattices to construct their densities of states. Sampled energy space was distributed between the individual walkers with certain overlaps. This was made to include the latest development of the algorithm as the density of states replica exchange technique. Several factors of immediate importance for the seamless stitching process have being considered. These include but not limited to the speed and universality of the initial parallel algorithm implementation as well as the data post-processing to produce the expected smooth density of states. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=density%20of%20states" title="density of states">density of states</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Monte%20Carlo" title=" Monte Carlo"> Monte Carlo</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=parallel%20algorithm" title=" parallel algorithm"> parallel algorithm</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Wang%20Landau%20algorithm" title=" Wang Landau algorithm"> Wang Landau algorithm</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/66265/constructing-the-density-of-states-from-the-parallel-wang-landau-algorithm-overlapping-data" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/66265.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">412</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6251</span> The Efficacy of Clobazam for Landau-Kleffner Syndrome</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nino%20Gogatishvili">Nino Gogatishvili</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Davit%20Kvernadze"> Davit Kvernadze</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Giorgi%20Japharidze"> Giorgi Japharidze</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Background and aims: Landau Kleffner syndrome (LKS) is a rare disorder with epileptic seizures and acquired aphasia. It usually starts in initially healthy children. The first symptoms are language regression and behavioral disturbances, and the sleep EEG reveals abnormal epileptiform activity. The aim was to discuss the efficacy of Clobazam for Landau Kleffner syndrome. Case report: We report a case of an 11-year-old boy with an uneventful pregnancy and delivery. He began to walk at 11 months and speak with simple phrases at the age of 2,5 years. At the age of 18 months, he had febrile convulsions; at the age of 5 years, the parents noticed language regression, stuttering, and serious behavioral dysfunction, including hyperactivity, temper outbursts. The epileptic seizure was not noticed. MRI was without any abnormality. Neuropsychological testing revealed verbal auditory agnosia. Sleep EEG showed abundant left fronto-temporal spikes, reaching over 85% during non-rapid eye movement sleep (non-REM sleep). Treatment was started with Clobazam. After ten weeks, EEG was improved. Stuttering and behavior also improved. Results: Since the start of Clobazam treatment, stuttering and behavior improved. Now, he is 11 years old, without antiseizure medication. Sleep EEG shows fronto-temporal spikes on the left side, over 10-49 % of non-REM sleep, bioccipital spikes, and slow-wave discharges and spike-waves. Conclusions: This case provides further support for the efficacy of Clobazam in patients with LKS. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Landau-Kleffner%20syndrome" title="Landau-Kleffner syndrome">Landau-Kleffner syndrome</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=antiseizure%20medication" title=" antiseizure medication"> antiseizure medication</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=stuttering" title=" stuttering"> stuttering</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=aphasia" title=" aphasia"> aphasia</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/168881/the-efficacy-of-clobazam-for-landau-kleffner-syndrome" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/168881.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">66</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6250</span> A Method for solving Legendre&#039;s Conjecture</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hashem%20Sazegar">Hashem Sazegar</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Legendre’s conjecture states that there is a prime number between n^2 and (n + 1)^2 for every positive integer n. Quite recently we studied density of states (DOS) was calculated by the Wang-Landau method. Based on the obtained data, we calculated the dependence of the residual entropy (entropy at a temperature tending to zero) on the dilution concentration for quite large systems (more than 2000 spins). In the current study, we obtained the same data for small systems (less than 20 spins) by a complete search of all possible magnetic configurations and compared the result with the result for large systems. The shape of the curve remains unchanged in both cases, but the specific values of the residual entropy are different because of the finite size effect. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=entropy" title="entropy">entropy</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=pyrochlore" title=" pyrochlore"> pyrochlore</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=spin%20ice" title=" spin ice"> spin ice</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Wang-Landau%20algorithm" title=" Wang-Landau algorithm"> Wang-Landau algorithm</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/81003/complete-enumeration-approach-for-calculation-of-residual-entropy-for-diluted-spin-ice" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/81003.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">264</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6248</span> Microwave Single Photon Source Using Landau-Zener Transitions</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Siddhi%20Khaire">Siddhi Khaire</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Samarth%20Hawaldar"> Samarth Hawaldar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Baladitya%20Suri"> Baladitya Suri</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> As efforts towards quantum communication advance, the need for single photon sources becomes imminent. Due to the extremely low energy of a single microwave photon, efforts to build single photon sources and detectors in the microwave range are relatively recent. We plan to use a Cooper Pair Box (CPB) that has a ‘sweet-spot’ where the two energy levels have minimal separation. Moreover, these qubits have fairly large anharmonicity making them close to ideal two-level systems. If the external gate voltage of these qubits is varied rapidly while passing through the sweet-spot, due to Landau-Zener effect, the qubit can be excited almost deterministically. The rapid change of the gate control voltage through the sweet spot induces a non-adiabatic population transfer from the ground to the excited state. The qubit eventually decays into the emission line emitting a single photon. The advantage of this setup is that the qubit can be excited without any coherent microwave excitation, thereby effectively increasing the usable source efficiency due to the absence of control pulse microwave photons. Since the probability of a Landau-Zener transition can be made almost close to unity by the appropriate design of parameters, this source behaves as an on-demand source of single microwave photons. The large anharmonicity of the CPB also ensures that only one excited state is involved in the transition and multiple photon output is highly improbable. Such a system has so far not been implemented and would find many applications in the areas of quantum optics, quantum computation as well as quantum communication. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=quantum%20computing" title="quantum computing">quantum computing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=quantum%20communication" title=" quantum communication"> quantum communication</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=quantum%20optics" title=" quantum optics"> quantum optics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=superconducting%20qubits" title=" superconducting qubits"> superconducting qubits</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=flux%20qubit" title=" flux qubit"> flux qubit</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=charge%20qubit" title=" charge qubit"> charge qubit</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=microwave%20single%20photon%20source" title=" microwave single photon source"> microwave single photon source</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=quantum%20information%20processing" title=" quantum information processing"> quantum information processing</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/160844/microwave-single-photon-source-using-landau-zener-transitions" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/160844.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">98</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6247</span> Dynamics of Adiabatic Rapid Passage in an Open Rabi Dimer Model</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Justin%20Zhengjie%20Tan">Justin Zhengjie Tan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yang%20Zhao"> Yang Zhao</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Adiabatic Rapid Passage, a popular method of achieving population inversion, is studied in a Rabi dimer model in the presence of noise which acts as a dissipative environment. The integration of the multi-Davydov D2 Ansatz into the time-dependent variational framework enables us to model the intricate quantum system accurately. By influencing the system with a driving field strength resonant with the energy spacing, the probability of adiabatic rapid passage, which is modelled after the Landau Zener model, can be derived along with several other observables, such as the photon population. The effects of a dissipative environment can be reproduced by coupling the system to a common phonon mode. By manipulating the strength and frequency of the driving field, along with the coupling strength of the phonon mode to the qubits, we are able to control the qubits and photon dynamics and subsequently increase the probability of Adiabatic Rapid Passage happening. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=quantum%20electrodynamics" title="quantum electrodynamics">quantum electrodynamics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=adiabatic%20rapid%20passage" title=" adiabatic rapid passage"> adiabatic rapid passage</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Landau-Zener%20transitions" title=" Landau-Zener transitions"> Landau-Zener transitions</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=dissipative%20environment" title=" dissipative environment"> dissipative environment</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/167520/dynamics-of-adiabatic-rapid-passage-in-an-open-rabi-dimer-model" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/167520.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">86</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6246</span> Study of Rayleigh-Bénard-Brinkman Convection Using LTNE Model and Coupled, Real Ginzburg-Landau Equations</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=P.%20G.%20Siddheshwar">P. Streamlines and isotherms are obtained in the two-dimensional unsteady finite-amplitude convection regime. The parameters&rsquo; influence on heat transport is found to be more pronounced at small time than at long times. Results of the Rayleigh-B&eacute;nard convection is obtained as a particular case of the present study. Additional modes are shown not to significantly influence the heat transport thus leading us to infer that five minimal modes are sufficient to make a study of RBBC. The present problem that uses rolls as a pattern of manifestation of instability is a needed first step in the direction of making a very general non-local study of two-dimensional unsteady convection. The results may be useful in determining the preferred range of parameters&rsquo; values while making rheometric measurements in fluids to ascertain fluid properties such as viscosity. The results of LTE are obtained as a limiting case of the results of LTNE obtained in the paper. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=coupled%20Ginzburg%E2%80%93Landau%20model" title="coupled Ginzburg–Landau model">coupled Ginzburg–Landau model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=local%20thermal%20non-equilibrium%20%28LTNE%29" title=" local thermal non-equilibrium (LTNE)"> local thermal non-equilibrium (LTNE)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=local%20thermal%20equilibrium%20%28LTE%29" title=" local thermal equilibrium (LTE)"> local thermal equilibrium (LTE)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rayleigh%E2%80%93B%C3%A9nard-Brinkman%20convection" title=" Rayleigh–Bénard-Brinkman convection"> Rayleigh–Bénard-Brinkman convection</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/70182/study-of-rayleigh-benard-brinkman-convection-using-ltne-model-and-coupled-real-ginzburg-landau-equations" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/70182.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">237</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6245</span> Unsteady Rayleigh-Bénard Convection of Nanoliquids in Enclosures</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=P.%20G.%20Siddheshwar">P. The thermophysical properties of water, copper, copper-oxide, alumina, silver and titania at 3000 K under stagnant conditions that are collected from literature are used in calculating thermophysical properties of water-based nanoliquids. Phenomenological laws and mixture theory are used for calculating thermophysical properties. Free-free, rigid-rigid and rigid-free boundary conditions are considered in the study. Intractable Lorenz model for each boundary combination is derived and then reduced to the tractable Ginzburg-Landau model. The amplitude thus obtained is used to quantify the heat transport in terms of Nusselt number. Addition of nanoparticles is shown not to alter the influence of the nature of boundaries on the onset of convection as well as on heat transport. Amongst the three enclosures considered, it is found that tall and shallow enclosures transport maximum and minimum energy respectively. Enhancement of heat transport due to nanoparticles in the three enclosures is found to be in the range 3% - 11%. Comparison of results in the case of rigid-rigid boundaries is made with those of an earlier work and good agreement is found. The study has limitations in the sense that thermophysical properties are calculated by using various quantities modelled for static condition. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=enclosures" title="enclosures">enclosures</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=free-free" title=" free-free"> free-free</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=rigid-rigid" title=" rigid-rigid"> rigid-rigid</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=rigid-free%20boundaries" title=" rigid-free boundaries"> rigid-free boundaries</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ginzburg-Landau%20model" title=" Ginzburg-Landau model"> Ginzburg-Landau model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lorenz%20model" title=" Lorenz model"> Lorenz model</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/69865/unsteady-rayleigh-benard-convection-of-nanoliquids-in-enclosures" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/69865.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">255</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6244</span> Internalizing and Externalizing Problems as Predictors of Student Wellbeing</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nai-Jiin%20Yang">Nai-Jiin Yang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tyler%20Renshaw"> Tyler Renshaw</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Prior research has suggested that youth internalizing and externalizing problems significantly correlate with student subjective wellbeing (SSW) and achievement problems (SAP). Yet, only a few studies have used data from mental health screener based on the dual-factor model to explore the empirical relationships among internalizing problems, externalizing problems, academic problems, and student wellbeing. This study was conducted through a secondary analysis of previously collected data in school-wide mental health screening activities across secondary schools within a suburban school district in the western United States. The data set included 1880 student responses from a total of two schools. Findings suggest that both internalizing and externalizing problems are substantial predictors of both student wellbeing and academic problems. However, compared to internalizing problems, externalizing problems were a much stronger predictor of academic problems. Moreover, this study did not support academic problems that moderate the relationship between SSW and youth internalizing problems (YIP) and between youth externalizing problems (YEP) and SSW. Lastly, SAP is the strongest predictor of SSW than YIP and YEP. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=academic%20problems" title="academic problems">academic problems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=externalizing%20problems" title=" externalizing problems"> externalizing problems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=internalizing%20problems" title=" internalizing problems"> internalizing problems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=school%20mental%20health" title=" school mental health"> school mental health</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=student%20wellbeing" title=" student wellbeing"> student wellbeing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=universal%20mental%20health%20screening" title=" universal mental health screening"> universal mental health screening</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/157811/internalizing-and-externalizing-problems-as-predictors-of-student-wellbeing" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/157811.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">84</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6243</span> Weakly Non-Linear Stability Analysis of Newtonian Liquids and Nanoliquids in Shallow, Square and Tall High-Porosity Enclosures</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Pradeep%20G.%20Siddheshwar">Pradeep G. The modified-Buongiorno-Brinkman model (MBBM) is used for the conservation of linear momentum in a nanoliquid-saturated-porous medium under the assumption of Boussinesq approximation. Thermal equilibrium is imposed between the base liquid and the nanoparticles. The thermophysical properties of nanoliquid are modeled using phenomenological laws and mixture theory. The fifth-order Lorenz model is derived for the problem and is then reduced to the first-order Ginzburg-Landau equation (GLE) using the multi-scale method. The analytical solution of the GLE for the amplitude is then used to quantify the heat transport in closed form, in terms of the Nusselt number. It is found that addition of dilute concentration of nanoparticles significantly enhances the heat transport and the dominant reason for the same is the high thermal conductivity of the nanoliquid in comparison to that of the base liquid. This aspect of nanoliquids helps in speedy removal of heat. The porous medium serves the purpose of retainment of energy in the system due to its low thermal conductivity. The present model helps in making a unified study for obtaining the results for base liquid, nanoliquid, base liquid-saturated porous medium and nanoliquid-saturated porous medium. Three different types of enclosures are considered for the study by taking different values of aspect ratio, and it is observed that heat transport in tall porous enclosure is maximum while that of shallow is the least. Detailed discussion is also made on estimating heat transport for different volume fractions of nanoparticles. Results of single-phase model are shown to be a limiting case of the present study. The study is made for three boundary combinations, viz., free-free, rigid-rigid and rigid-free. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Boungiorno%20model" title="Boungiorno model">Boungiorno model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ginzburg-Landau%20equation" title=" Ginzburg-Landau equation"> Ginzburg-Landau equation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lorenz%20equations" title=" Lorenz equations"> Lorenz equations</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=porous%20medium" title=" porous medium"> porous medium</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/69913/weakly-non-linear-stability-analysis-of-newtonian-liquids-and-nanoliquids-in-shallow-square-and-tall-high-porosity-enclosures" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/69913.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">322</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6242</span> An Approach to Solving Some Inverse Problems for Parabolic Equations</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bolatbek%20Rysbaiuly">Bolatbek Rysbaiuly</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aliya%20S.%20Azhibekova"> Aliya S. Teachers responded to three questionnaires - social communication problems, social anxiety and mood problems- that were used to answer the research questions. Results: social communication problems, social anxiety and mood problems were of medium rates for students with ASD enrolled in reguler and special classes. No significant differences in the level of social communication problems could be attributed to class type (Regular, Special) or the grade level-(1st – 3rd, 4th - 6th). There were significant differences in social anxiety levels that could be attributed to grade level in favor of the 4th - 6th grades but there were no significant differences according to class type (Regular, Special). There were statistically significant differences in mood problems levels that could be attributed to the class type in favor of special classes, but no differences were found according to grade level. There was a direct significant relationship between communication problems, social anxiety, and mood problems. Conclusion: social communication problems may be an important risk factor for the development of social anxiety and mood problems among students with ASD. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=social%20communication%20problems" title="social communication problems">social communication problems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=social%20anxiety" title=" social anxiety"> social anxiety</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mood%20problems" title=" mood problems"> mood problems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=autism%20spectrum%20disorders" title=" autism spectrum disorders"> autism spectrum disorders</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/144385/social-communication-problems-social-anxiety-and-mood-problems-among-students-with-autism-spectrum-disorder-from-teachers-perspective" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/144385.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">175</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6237</span> Parkinson&#039;s Disease and Musculoskeletal Problems</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ozge%20Yilmaz%20Kusbeci">Ozge Yilmaz Kusbeci</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ipek%20Inci"> Ipek Inci</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Aim: Musculoskeletal problems are very common in Parkinson’s disease (PD). The aim of this study is to evaluate the prevalence and clinical features of musculoskeletal problems in patients with Parkinson disease (PD) compared to controls. Methods: 50 PD patients and 50 age and sex matched controls were interviewed by physicians about their musculoskeletal problems. Results: The prevalence of musculoskeletal problems was significantly higher in the PD group than in the control group (p < 0.05). Commonly involved body sites were the shoulder, low back, and knee. The shoulder and low back was more frequently involved in the PD group than in the control group. However, the knee was similarly involved in both groups. Among the past diagnoses associated with musculoskeletal problems, frozen shoulder, low back pain and osteoporosis more common in the PD group than in the control group (p < 0.05). Furthermore, musculoskeletal problems in the PD group tended to receive less treatment than that of the control group. Conclusion: Musculoskeletal problems were more common in the PD group than in the controls. Therefore assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal problems could improve quality of life in PD patients. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=parkinson%20disease" title="parkinson disease">parkinson disease</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=musculoskeletal%20problems" title=" musculoskeletal problems"> musculoskeletal problems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=quality%20of%20life" title=" quality of life"> quality of life</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=PD%20disease" title=" PD disease"> PD disease</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/27299/parkinsons-disease-and-musculoskeletal-problems" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/27299.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">394</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6236</span> Methods for Solving Identification Problems</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Fadi%20Awawdeh">Fadi Awawdeh</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this work, we highlight the key concepts in using semigroup theory as a methodology used to construct efficient formulas for solving inverse problems. It is helpful to reveal the equivalence of gravitational and inertial mass, and to understand the origin of inertia. The derivation is similar to the classic approach adopted by Landau in the book 'Classical Theory of Fields'.The main differences are that we used CBGP = Lambda^2 instead of c^2, and used CBGP energy E = m*Lambda^2 instead of kinetic energy E = (1/2)m*v^2 as initial assumptions (where Lambda has the same units for measuring velocity). It showed that Lorentz transformation, rest energy and Newtonian mechanics are all affected by $CBGP$, and the square of the speed of light is equal to CBGP too. The natures of different recruitment problems faced by HRD are different in both sector of Russia. Recruitment is one of very critical and important decision taken by HR department and some recruitment problems are highly faced by HR department of public/semi Govt. sector but are not major problems for private sector. Moreover, some problems are majorly influence in private sector but are not major problems in public/semi-govt. sector of Russia in recruitment. It is also identified that some recruitment problems are majorly affect in recruitment in both sectors. This paper helps to understand the recruitment problems faced by HR department while recruiting the new employee in both sectors. This paper also identified that “environment” and “prejudice” in public sector have higher affect and considered as a major problems in employee recruitment and “reference”, “selection standards” are considered as a least affecting problems of recruitment in public sector. Further, in private sector, “prejudice” and “culture” are major issues and “selection standards” and “reference” is considered as least affecting recruitment problems in private sector of Russia. So, HR department will be able to hire right person on right time, and it is possible when different HR departments focus to overcome these recruitment problems more efficiently and effectively. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Govt.%20%2FSemi-Govt.%20vs.%20private%20sector" title="Govt. /Semi-Govt. vs. private sector">Govt. /Semi-Govt. vs. private sector</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=HR%20department" title=" HR department"> HR department</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=recruitment%20problems" title=" recruitment problems"> recruitment problems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Russia" title=" Russia"> Russia</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/18567/the-nature-of-problems-faced-by-organization-in-recruitment-a-comparative-analysis-between-public-and-private-sector-of-russia" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/18567.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">380</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6231</span> Solutions to Probabilistic Constrained Optimal Control Problems Using Concentration Inequalities</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tomoaki%20Hashimoto">Tomoaki Hashimoto</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Recently, optimal control problems subject to probabilistic constraints have attracted much attention in many research field. This paper provides a general review on studies, efforts and developments in Facility Location Problems which are classical optimization problems having a wide-spread applications in various areas such as transportation, distribution, production, supply chain decisions and telecommunication. Our goal is not to review all variants of different studies in FLPs or to describe very detailed computational techniques and solution approaches, but rather to provide a broad overview of major location problems that have been studied, indicating how they are formulated and what are proposed by researchers to tackle the problem. To find the reasons why students consider word problems to be difficult, it is necessary to take into consideration the motivational settings, besides mathematical knowledge and reading skills. Our goal is to identify whether the familiar or unfamiliar context of math word problem influences solving success rate and if so, whether the reasons are motivational or cognitive. For this purpose, we conducted three steps study in group of fifty pupils 9-10 years old. In the first step, we asked pupils to create ‘the best’ word problems for entered numerical formula. The set of 19 word problems with different contexts were selected. In the second step, pupils were asked to evaluate (without solving) how they like each item and how easy it is for them. The 6 word problems with low preference and low estimated success rate were selected and combined with other 6 problems with high preference and success rate. In the third step, the same pupils were asked to solve the word problems. The analysis showed that pupils attitudes and solving toward word problems varied by the context. The strong gender patterns both in preferred contexts and in estimated success rates were identified however the real success rate did not differ so strongly. The success gap between word problems with and without preferred contexts were stronger than the gap between problems with and without real experience with the context. The hypothesis that motivational factors are more important than cognitive factors was confirmed. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mathematics" title="mathematics">mathematics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=context%20of%20reality" title=" context of reality"> context of reality</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=motivation" title=" motivation"> motivation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cognition" title=" cognition"> cognition</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=word%20problems" title=" word problems"> word problems</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/84849/math-word-problems-context-and-achievement" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/84849.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">198</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6227</span> Self‑reported Auditory Problems Are Associated with Adverse Mental Health Outcomes and Alcohol Misuse in the UK Armed Forces</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Fred%20N.%20H.%20Parker">Fred N. The present study examined the association between auditory problems and probable common mental disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder and alcohol misuse. Methods 5474 serving and ex-service personnel from the UK Armed Forces were examined, selected from those who responded to phase two (data collection 2007–09) and phase three (2014–16) of a military cohort study. Multivariable logistic regression was used to examine the association between auditory problems at phase two and mental health problems at phase three. Results 9.7% of participants reported ever experiencing hearing problems alone, 7.9% reported tinnitus within the last month alone, and 7.8% reported hearing problems with tinnitus. After adjustment, hearing problems with tinnitus at phase two was associated with increased odds of probable common mental disorders (AOR = 1.50, 95% CI 1.09–2.08), post-traumatic stress disorder (AOR = 2.30, 95% CI 1.41–3.76), and alcohol misuse (AOR = 1.94, 95% CI 1.28–2.96) at phase three. Tinnitus alone was associated with probable post-traumatic stress disorder (AOR = 1.80, 95% CI 1.03–3.15); however, hearing problems alone were not associated with any outcomes of interest. Conclusions The association between auditory problems and mental health problems emphasizes the importance of the prevention of auditory problems in the Armed Forces: through enhanced audiometric screening, improved hearing protection equipment, and greater levels of utilization of such equipment. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=armed%20forces" title="armed forces">armed forces</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hearing%20problems" title=" hearing problems"> hearing problems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=tinnitus" title=" tinnitus"> tinnitus</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mental%20health" title=" mental health"> mental health</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=alcohol%20misuse" title=" alcohol misuse"> alcohol misuse</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/142704/selfreported-auditory-problems-are-associated-with-adverse-mental-health-outcomes-and-alcohol-misuse-in-the-uk-armed-forces" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/142704.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">166</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6226</span> Sensitivity Analysis in Fuzzy Linear Programming Problems</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=S.%20H.%20Nasseri">S.
