You may then be eligible for the <span lang="nl" dir="ltr">Wet arbeidsongeschiktheidsvoorziening jonggehandicapten – Wajong</span> benefit.</p></div> <p>Last updated on 3 January 2022</p><h2>Eligibility for the Wajong benefit</h2> <p>To be eligible for the <a href="https://www.uwv.nl/en/individuals/occupational-disability/wajong-benefit" class="external" aria-label="Wajong benefit (opens external website)"><span lang="nl" dir="ltr">Wajong</span> benefit</a>, certain conditions apply. For example, you must not be currently in education. Please consult the Uitvoeringsinstituut Werknemersverzekeringen – UWV (Employee Insurance Agency) website to find out about <a href="https://www.uwv.nl/en/individuals/occupational-disability/wajong-benefit/applying-for-a-wajong-benefit" class="external" aria-label="eligibility for the Wajong benefit (opens external website)">eligibility for the <span lang="nl" dir="ltr">Wajong </span>benefit</a>.</p><h2>Applying for the Wajong benefit</h2> <p>Please contact the UWV to <a href="https://www.uwv.nl/en/individuals/forms/applying-for-a-work-capacity-evaluation" class="external" aria-label="apply for a work capacity evaluation (opens external website)">apply for a work capacity evaluation</a>. The UWV will then investigate whether there are opportunities for you to work. This is called <span lang="nl" dir="ltr">arbeidsvermogen</span>. Does the UWV find that you have no capacity for work?
