Fermentation is an\r\nadvantageous process to produce gluconic acid. Mathematical\r\nmodeling is important in the design and operation of fermentation\r\nprocess. In fact, kinetic data must be available for modeling. The\r\nkinetic parameters of gluconic acid production by Aspergillus niger\r\nin batch culture was studied in this research at initial substrate\r\nconcentration of 150, 200 and 250 g\/l. The kinetic models used were\r\nlogistic equation for growth, Luedeking-Piret equation for gluconic\r\nacid formation, and Luedeking-Piret-like equation for glucose\r\nconsumption. The Kinetic parameters in the model were obtained by\r\nminimizing non linear least squares curve fitting.","references":"[1] J.Z. Liu, L.P. Weng, Q.L. Zhang, H. Xu, L. N.
