Where it was once dangerous to be associated with a superhero as it might define your career, now it just means you’re likely to sign a nine picture contract. Which is what makes the trailer for <em><strong>Birdman</strong></em> so intriguing.</p> <p><span id="more-187520"></span></p> <p>Here <a title="More About Michael Keaton" href="http://web.archive.org/web/20140625050136/http://screencrave.com/tag/Michael-Keaton/">Michael Keaton</a> plays a former superhero actor who is haunted by his past and may be insane. That the film is playing on Keaton’s history as Batman definitely gives it an edge, but also what makes it interesting is that it comes from director <a title="More About Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu" href="http://web.archive.org/web/20140625050136/http://screencrave.com/tag/Alejandro-Gonzalez-Inarritu/">Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu.</a> He’s been known for his more serious films like <em><strong>Babel</strong> </em>and <em><strong>21 Grams</strong>, </em>whereas this definitely seems more drawn from the <a title="More About Michel Gondry" href="http://web.archive.org/web/20140625050136/http://screencrave.com/tag/Michel-Gondry/">Michel Gondry</a> school of cinema.
