Such a software suite was previously made popular by Netscape and Mozilla, and the SeaMonkey project continues to develop and deliver high-quality updates to this concept. Containing an Internet browser, email & newsgroup client, HTML editor, IRC chat and web development tools, SeaMonkey is sure to appeal to advanced users, web developers and corporate users.

Under the hood, SeaMonkey uses much of the same Mozilla source code which powers such successful siblings as Firefox, Thunderbird, Camino, Sunbird and Miro. Legal backing is provided by the Mozilla Foundation.

Project News

November 23, 2007

Directed Donations for SeaMonkey

The Mozilla Foundation has announced their so-called "Directed Donation Program" this week, which allow anyone to direct their donation to the Foundation to a specific sub-project, such as SeaMonkey.
Starting now, any user can make his donation on the Donate to SeaMonkey page. The Mozilla Foundation as the direct recipient will keep track of the amount designated to SeaMonkey, and will work with the SeaMonkey Council on finding initiatives related to SeaMonkey to fund with this money.
More information is available on the SeaMonkey donation web page and the mozilla.org Donation FAQ.

November 5, 2007

SeaMonkey 1.1.6 Available

The SeaMonkey project has been made aware of several small problems in displaying certain web pages in the last release and therefore released a new version of its all-in-one internet suite.
