早期时，螺旋过滤机在过滤鱼、虾等废料时发现这样一种情况，过滤开始时，入料经过挤压，滤出液从滤网流出。但过滤一段时间后滤液就停止流动了，滤饼也不会从卸料口排出，其主要原因是物料浓度增大，由于滤网结构原因导致过滤效率降低而出现了堵塞。<br /> </div><div> 随着螺旋过滤技术的发展，为了避免出现堵塞的问题，上世纪七十年代在德国等欧洲国家出现了一种相对新型的滤网结构，如栅条滤网结构、动定环过滤结构等。其中动定环结构滤网就是在螺旋轴上套满多重环片，所套环片分两种：固定环片和活动环片。固定环与活动环相互间隔，具有一定过滤间隙，通过活动环与固定环环片间物料的摩擦，对物料挤出产生促进作用大于阻碍作用的摩擦力，从而提高物料的过滤分离效果，避免了高粘度物料的堵塞现象。<br /> </div><div> 例如德国的达姆施塔特工业大学、FAN公司及美国的LYCO公司生产的适用于渔业、农场等领域的动定环滤网结构螺旋过滤设备——叠螺式污泥脱水机雏形开始推出，能很好地避免因堵塞产生的问题，并因此在渔业、食品业发达的日本、韩国等国家开始得到推广。<br /> </div><div> 叠螺污泥脱水机的工作原理<br /> </div><div> 1、浓缩：当螺旋推动轴转动时，设在推动轴外围的多重固活叠片相对移动，在重力作用下，水从相对移动的叠片间隙中滤出，实现快速浓缩。<br /> </div><div> 2、脱水：经过浓缩的污泥随着螺旋轴的转动不断往前移动；沿泥饼出口方向，螺旋轴的螺距逐渐变小，环与环之间的间隙也逐渐变小，螺旋腔的体积不断收缩；在出口处背压板的作用下，内压逐渐增强，在螺旋推动轴依次连续运转推动下，污泥中的水分受挤压排出，滤饼含固量不断升高，终实现污泥的连续脱水。<br /> </div><div> 3、自清洗：螺旋轴的旋转，推动游动环不断转动，设备依靠固定环和游动环之间的移动实现连续的自清洗过程，从而巧妙地避免了传统脱水机普遍存在的堵塞问题。<br /> </div><div> 叠螺污泥脱水机的构造原理<br /> </div><div>
