Prof. Ahmad has supervised 16 PhD’s, 79 postgraduates, 10 projects, published 190 research papers, one patent and three books with research citation of 7375, h-index of 50 and i10-index of 147. Prof. Ahmad is active reviewer of 172 journals, delivered 168 Invited talks, evaluated 61 external doctoral theses and presented 128 conference papers. Prof. Ahmad is the recipient of MRSI Medal, SMC Bronze Medal, ISCAS Medal, Inspired Teacher’s President of India Award, DST-DFG award, Distinguished Scientist Award, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Excellence Award of Education, Teacher’s Excellence Award and elected as Member of National Academy of Sciences India. Li received his Ph.D. at McGill University 1992 and was a NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow Stanford University (US). He was an Assistant (1994), Professor (1998) and Full Professor (2000) at Tulane University (US). Since 2003, he has been a Canada Research Chair (Tier I) in Green Chemistry and E. B. Eddy Chair Professor at McGill University. He was a pioneer in using water as a green solvent and a leader in developing Green Chemistry for chemical synthesis. He was listed as a highly cited researcher by Thomson Reuters (2014-2017). He received a US NSF’s CAREER Award (1997), US Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award (2001), 2010 Canadian Green Chemistry and Engineering Award, 2015 R. U. Lemieux Award and 2018 Alfred Bader Award of the Canadian Chemical Society, the 2020 Catalysis Award and the 2022 CIC Medal of CIC, the 2021 Alexander von Humboldt Research Award, and the 2018 Killam Research Fellow of the Canadian Council of Arts among others. She was Principal Researcher and Head of the Environmental Chemistry Remediation Division at the National Atomic Commission. Main research interests: treatment of organic and inorganic contaminants in water and air by innovative advanced technologies, especially heterogeneous photocatalysis and use of iron nanomaterials. She authored more than 250 scientific publications in international journals, books and chapters of books. She received the Mercosur Prize twice in 2006 and 2011. She was President of the Organizing Committee of the 5th International Congress on Arsenic in the Environment in Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2014. She was designated pioneer on photocatalysis in Argentina (2016). DE MORAIS, PhD, was full Professor of Physics at the University of Brasilia (UnB) – Brazil up to 2013, Appointed as UnB’s Emeritus Professor (2014), Appointed as Guest Professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology – China (2011), Visiting Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) – China (2012-2015), Appointed as Distinguished Professor at Anhui University (AHU) – China (2016-2019), Appointed as Full Professor at Catholic University of Brasília (UCB) – Brazil (2018), Appointed as CNPq-1A Research Fellowship since 2010. 2007 Master Research Prize from UnB, 2008-member of the European ERA NET Nanoscience Committee, Member of the IEEE-Magnetic Society Technical Committee, Senior Member of the IEEE Society, 2012 China’s 1000 Foreign Expert Recipient, and 2012 Academic Excellence Award from Brazilian Professor’s Union. He held two-years (1987-1988) post-doc position with Bell Communications Research – New Jersey, USA and received his Doctoral degree in Solid State Physics (1986) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais – Brazil. He graduated in both Chemistry (1976) and Physics (1977) at UnB. Professor Morais is member of the Brazilian Physical Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – IEEE. He has served as referee for more than 50 technical journals, takes part of the Editorial Board of more than 15 technical journals and has conducted research on nanomaterials for over 40 years. He has delivered more than 150 Invited Talks all over the World. He is known for his research in preparation, characterization and applications of nanosized materials (magnetic fluid, magnetoliposome, magnetic nanoemulsion, magnetic nanocapsule, magnetic nanofilm, magnetic nanocomposite, nanosized semiconductors, polymeric dots, carbon dots, and graphene quantum dots). He is a Subject Editor of CHERD (Chem Eng Research and Design) and editorial board members of 20 journals including J. Membrane Science, AIChE J., I & EC Research, Desalination, Separation and Purification Reviews, Chemical Engineering J., Chemical Engineering and Technology, Polymer Engineering and Science, J., Applied Polymer Science, and many others.Prof. Chung research focuses on membranes for clean water, clean energy, and CO2 capture. Novel membranes for purification of natural gas and hydrogen, and CO2 capture have been developed. Breakthroughs on high performance forward osmosis, membrane distillation and aquaporin embedded biomimetic membranes for clean water have been demonstrated. In 2005-2008, he worked as a Senior Consultant for Hyflux, led and built its membrane research team. He was a co-inventor of Hyflux Kristal™ 600 ultrafiltration membranes which commercialized worldwide. He received two IChemE “Highly Recommended” Awards in Energy and Water in 2009, and IES (Institution of Engineers, Singapore) Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award, and Hyflux‐SNIC (Singapore National Institute of Chemistry) Award in Environmental Chemistry, and IChemE in Singapore Awards in Sustainability in 2010. He was appointed as Provost’s Chair and received Research Leadership Award at NUS in 2011.
