The label known as Hillsboro to be distributed by EMD (EMI Distribution) will debut with three releases by pianist Beegie Adair, violinist Antoine Silverman and guitarist Jack Jezzro. To celebrate the label's emergence, a 12-track sampler is being released to familiarize industry members from the radio, retail and press community with the label. <p><p> The Spring Hill Music Group, Inc. began operations in 1994 and was founded by gospel music veteran Bill Gaither and Indiana business executive, Leland Boren. The company is comprised of four divisions including Spring Hill Records, which produces and markets Christian Music artists to the Christian Bookstore market (approximately 6,000 retail accounts) through its exclusive distributor, the EMI Christian Music Group. <p><p> Other divisions include Green Hill Productions which create and market instrumental music to the specialty gift market (approximately 8,000 retail accounts), and their publishing and distributed labels which represent the Gaither Music Group, EMI/Sparrow, and Walt Disney Records, the two latter for which Green Hill is the exclusive gift market distributor.<p><p> Locally, the Spring Hill Music Group, Inc. has been recognized as one of Middle Tennessee's Future 50 Companies to watch for the past two years, and recently Entrepreneur magazine recognized the Spring Hill Music Group, Inc. as one of the country's 75 greatest success stories.<p><p> The Nashville based Adair who is a native of Cave City, Kentucky was the recipient of the 1997 Nashville Music Award for Jazz Album of the Year for her tribute to Frank Sinatra. His April 10 Hillsboro debut, Blue Moods features pianist, Stefan Karlson; guitarist, Pat Bergeson and the Hillsboro house rhythm duo of Spencer and Brown. Silverman, an accomplished studio musician was recently featured in the avant-garde Broadway show, The Green Bird, from Tony Award winning director, Julie Taymor (The Lion King).<p><p> Consistently clever" boasts 20th Century Guitar magazine in reference to the Nashville based guitarist Jack Jezzro. Jazz Elegance: The Trio Recordings set for release May 8, presents 13 standards and originals ranging from Ellington, Rodgers & Hart and Cole Porter. Jezzro who produced the recording is joined by bassist, Jim Fergusen and drummer, Jim White.
