<i>that is,</i> that you abstain<MG568> from sexual<MG4202> immorality<MG4202>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/1_thessalonians/4-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>that each<MG1538> of you know<MG3609a> how<MG3609a> to <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>possess<MG2932> his own<MG1438> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>vessel<MG4632> in sanctification<MG38> and honor<MG5092>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/1_thessalonians/4-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>not in <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>lustful<MG1939> passion<MG3806>, like<MG2509> the Gentiles<MG1484> who do not know<MG3609a> God<MG2316>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/1_thessalonians/4-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span><i>and</i> that no<MG3361> one violate<MG5233> the rights<MG5233> and take<MG4122> advantage<MG4122> of his brother<MG80> <i>or sister</i> in the matter<MG4229>, because<MG1360> the Lord<MG2962> is <i>the</i> avenger<MG1558> in all<MG3956> these<MG3778> things<MG3778>, just<MG2531a> as<MG2531a> we also<MG2532> told<MG4275b> you previously<MG4275b> and solemnly<MG1263> warned<MG1263> <i>you.</i> <span class="reftext"><a href="/1_thessalonians/4-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>For God<MG2316> has not called<MG2564> us for <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>impurity<MG167>, but in sanctification<MG38>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/1_thessalonians/4-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>Therefore<MG5105>, the one who rejects<MG114> <i>this</i> is not rejecting<MG114> man<MG444>, but the God<MG2316> who gives<MG1325> His Holy<MG40> Spirit<MG4151> to you. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/1_thessalonians/4-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>Now<MG1161> as to the love<MG5360> of<MG5360> the<MG5360> brothers<MG5360> <i>and</i> sisters<MG5360>, you have<MG2192> no<MG3756> need<MG5532> for <i>anyone</i> to write<MG1125> to you, for you yourselves<MG846> are taught<MG2312> by<MG2312> God<MG2312> to love<MG25> one<MG240> another<MG240>;
