between coaches across the continent and helping those responsible for educating the next generation of coaches.</p><p>All of the events and work are undertaken with the well-being of the technical sector – and European football as a whole – in mind.</p><p><strong>Sharing expertise</strong><br/>Coaches and technicians meet with UEFA at regular intervals.</p><p>The continent's leading club coaches gather at the UEFA Elite Coaches' Forum at UEFA's headquarters in Nyon at the start of each season.</p><p>A conference is held with national coaches after each final round of the FIFA World Cup and UEFA European Championship. The last one took place in Madrid in September 2010, with the focus on the technical analysis of the World Cup from a European perspective.</p><p>A UEFA Workshop for Coach Education has been held every two years. The latest edition was in Athens in September 2009.</p><p>Every second year, UEFA runs a specific and practical course for coach educators. The technical centre of the Italian Football Federation was the venue for the most recent event in April 2010.</p><p>The first conference for women's national team coaches was held in Nyon in December 2009.</p><p>An innovative student exchange programme for coach education started at pilot level in 2011. The programme's goal is to give students of the UEFA Pro licence opportunities to swap international knowledge, as well as to enjoy direct access to UEFA tutors and content as part of their education.
