and listen<MH7181>, you peoples<MH3816>! <t><p class="indent1">Let the earth<MH776> and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[a]</a></span>all<MH4393> it contains<MH4393> hear<MH8085>, and the world<MH8398> and all<MH3605> that springs<MH6631> from it. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/34-2.htm"><b>2</b></a></span>For the LORD’S<MH3068> anger<MH7110a> is against<MH5921> all<MH3605> the nations<MH1471>, <t><p class="indent1">And <i>His</i> wrath<MH2534> against<MH5921> all<MH3605> their armies<MH6635>. <t><p class="indent1">He has <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[b]</a></span>utterly<MH2763a> destroyed<MH2763a> them, <t><p class="indent1">He has turned<MH5414> them over<MH5414> to slaughter<MH2874>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/34-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>So their slain<MH2491a> will be thrown<MH7993> out<MH7993>, <t><p class="indent1">And their corpses<MH6297> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>will give<MH5927> off<MH5927> their stench<MH889>, <t><p class="indent1">And the mountains<MH2022> will <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>be drenched<MH4549> with their blood<MH1818>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/34-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>And all<MH3605> the heavenly<MH8064> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>lights<MH6635> will <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>wear<MH4743> away<MH4743>, <t><p class="indent1">And the sky<MH8064> will be rolled<MH1556> up<MH1556> like a scroll<MH5612>; <t><p class="indent1">Behold<MH2009> it shall descend<MH3381> for judgment<MH4941> upon Edom<MH112b>, <t><p class="indent1">And upon the people<MH5971a> whom I have designated<MH2764a> for<MH2764a> destruction<MH4941>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/34-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>The sword<MH2719> of the LORD<MH3068> is filled<MH4390> with blood<MH1818>, <t><p class="indent1">It drips<MH1878> with fat<MH2459>, with the blood<MH1818> of lambs<MH3733c> and goats<MH6260>, <t><p class="indent1">With the fat<MH2459> of the kidneys<MH3629> of rams<MH352a>. <t><p class="indent1">For the LORD<MH3068> has a sacrifice<MH2077> in Bozrah<MH1224a>, <t><p class="indent1">And a great<MH1419> slaughter<MH2874> in the land<MH776> of Edom<MH112b>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/34-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>Wild<MH7214> oxen<MH7214> will also <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>fall<MH3381> with them <t><p class="indent1">And young<MH6499> bulls<MH6499> with strong<MH47> ones<MH47>; <t><p class="indent1">It will also be a haunt<MH5116a> of jackals<MH8565> <t><p class="indent1"><i>And</i> a habitat<MH2691b> of ostriches<MH3284>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/34-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>The desert<MH6716b> creatures<MH6716b> will meet<MH6298> with the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[p]</a></span>wolves<MH338>, <t><p class="indent1">The <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[q]</a></span>goat<MH8163b> also will cry<MH7121> to its kind<MH7453>. <t><p class="indent1">Yes<MH389>, the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[r]</a></span>night-bird<MH3917a> will settle<MH7280b> there<MH8033> <t><p class="indent1">And will find<MH4672> herself a resting<MH4494> place<MH4494>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/34-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>The tree<MH7091> snake<MH7091> will make<MH7077> its nest<MH7077> and lay<MH4422> <i>eggs</i> there<MH8033>, <t><p class="indent1">And it will hatch<MH1234> and gather<MH1716> <i>them</i> under its <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[s]</a></span>protection<MH6738>. <t><p class="indent1">Yes<MH389>, the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[t]</a></span>hawks<MH1772> will be gathered<MH6908> there<MH8033>, <t><p class="indent1">Every<MH802> one<MH376> with its kind<MH7468>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/34-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>Seek<MH1875> from the book<MH5612> of the LORD<MH3068>, and read<MH7121>: <p class="indent1stline">Not one<MH259> of these<MH2007> will be<MH5737c> missing<MH5737c>;
