all woven together into a holistic piece of powerful, transformative, and artistic entertainment. A bold and unique undertaking, The Portal offers a musical and theatrical experience of unprecedented vision and creativity. The storyline is similar to a mythological epic (e.g.: The Odyssey, Gilgamesh) and follows the character Dante on a visual journey through the desert and mountains -- and through fractal fire, water, and love --while on a path of personal discovery and otherworldly experiences. The plot serves not only as the structure of the show, but also as a conduit for the audience to engage in their own journey and experience. While The Portal may be most similar in format to a 'rock opera' like Pink Floyd's The Wall, it incorporates elements that go far beyond the familiar including dance, cinematography, mythology, fractal art, and audience participation - all of this is backed by a tremendously talented live band.
