Namun, kenyataan yang ada dilapangan, pasar yang adil, dan tanpa adanya kedzaliman, seringkali tidak terjadi, sehingga Ekonomi Islam menegaskan bahwa mekanisme pasar dan penetapan harga perlu diatur untuk menegakkan keseimbangan pasar dan keadilan ekonomi dengan mempertimbangkan kepentingan para pihak yang terlibat di pasar. Distorsi pasar merupakan bentuk pasar yang harus diatur oleh pemerintah (pihak otoritas) lewat kebijakan intervensi yang menjadi wewenang. Ekonomi Islam memandang bahwa pasar, negara, dan individu berada dalam keseimbangan. Pasar dijamin kebebasannya dalam islam. Pasar bebas menentukan cara-cara produksi dan harga, tidak boleh ada ganggauan yang mengakibatkan rusaknya keseimbangan pasar. Pertemuan antara permintaan dan penawaran tersebut harus terjadi rela sama rela, tidak ada pihak yang merasa terpaksa atau tertipu atau adanya kekeliruan objek transaksi dalam melakukan transaksi barang tertentu pada tingkat harga tertentu. Dengan demikian, islam menjamin pasar bebas dimana para pembeli dan para penjual bersaing satu sama lain dengan arus informasi yang berjalan lancar dalam kerangka keadilan, yakni tidak ada(baik individu maupun kelompok, produsen maupun konsumen, apalagi pemerintah) yang zalim atau dizalimi. Hal diatas tentunya merupakan situasi ideal. Namun pada kenyataannya, situasi ideal tersebut tidak selalu tercapai, karena sering kali terjadi gangguang/ interupsi pada mekanisme pasar yang ideal ini. Gangguan ini kita sebut sebagai distorsi pasar(market distortion). Penawaran dan permintaan merupakan pendorong utama negosiasi dengan tujuan mencapai harga keseimbangan. Pasar dianggap mencapai keseimbangan harga ketika terjadi kesetaraan antara harga permintaan dan harga penawaran. Dalam perspektif ekonomi Islam, proses permintaan dan penawaran memiliki keterkaitan erat dengan Al-Quran dan Hadis. Konsep ekonomi dan pandangan Islam terhadap keseimbangan pasar hampir identik, namun dengan batasan tertentu sesuai prinsip-prinsip Islam. Sistem ekonomi Islam selalu mendukung konsep harga yang adil dan transparan sesuai dengan mekanisme pasar yang sempurna. Harga di pasar seharusnya mencerminkan kehendak Allah SWT atau sesuai dengan hukum permintaan dan penawaran. Meskipun demikian, dalam sistem ekonomi Islam, masih ada ruang untuk campur tangan pada harga dalam kondisi tertentu, terutama jika produsen atau penjual melakukan kecurangan yang dapat merugikan konsumen. Artinya, informasi yang membentuk harga di pasar masih didominasi oleh informasi historis dan informasi publik, walaupun dalam banyak hal masih belum dapat dikatakan pasti. Sisi menarik lain yang terkait dengan bentuk pasar dalam islam adalah posisi menempatkan pasar pada kedudukan yang penting dalam perekonomian. Bahkan, praktik ekonomi pada masa Rasulullah dan Khulafaurrasyidin menunjukkan adanya peranan pasar yang dominan. ds2-5-body-sm">Based on research finding, santris‟ perspective toward market as the main role of economic which should conform syariah principles in order to get halal and toyyib profit. To create an Islamic market it is necessary to build Islamic markets or Islamize markets, in other words to fix the existing contract based on the syariah principles. In Islamic market, traders who do not understand syariah law are not allowed to enter the market. They can get training on syariah law, so can apply it on the market. Based on santris‟ perspective, an Islamic market is not made based on whether or not there is rent and retribution fee. It is how the market does the transaction with syariah principles. On santris‟ perspective, exchange medium in Islamic market is not always dinar and dirham. It does not emphasize exchange medium but traders‟ behavior whether they do the transaction based on syariah principles or not. Furthermore, using dinar or dirham does not guaranty no-usury because gold and silver belong to usury item. The most important thing is a role of hisbah council in watching market activities. They should watch the market and see how the transaction happened between traders. The view which considers tourism is dangerous to Islam is therefore not true.
