One of a cadet saluting, one of the Corps Arches in the Quad."/> <div class="caption">The brick Corps Arches represent the symbolic gateway to the world for Texas A&M's Corps of Cadets.</div> </div> <p> Symbolizing the spirit of the 12th Man, the Corps Arches serve as the entry point to the Corps of Cadets Quadrangle or "quad." The quad is the home of the Corps with residence halls housing every cadet and Duncan Dining Hall feeding the Corps. </p> <p> Part of Texas A&M since 1876, with the mission of "training leaders of character and competence for service to nation and state," Texas A&M's Corps of Cadets is the largest uniformed student body apart from the national service academies.
