In\nthese difficult cases, an intelligent stethoscope with decision support\nabilities would be of great value. In this study, using a dog model,\nphonocardiographic recordings were obtained from 27 boxer dogs\nwith various degrees of aortic stenosis (AS) severity. As a reference\nfor severity assessment, continuous wave Doppler was used. The data\nwere analyzed with recurrence quantification analysis (RQA) with\nthe aim to find features able to distinguish innocent murmurs from\nmurmurs caused by AS. Four out of eight investigated RQA features\nshowed significant differences between innocent murmurs and\npathological murmurs. Using a plain linear discriminant analysis\nclassifier, the best pair of features (recurrence rate and entropy)\nresulted in a sensitivity of 90% and a specificity of 88%. In\nconclusion, RQA provide valid features which can be used for\ndifferentiation between innocent murmurs and murmurs caused by\nAS.", "identifier": "https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.1058303", "inLanguage": {"@type": "Language", "alternateName": "eng", "name": "English"}, "keywords": "Bioacoustics, murmur, phonocardiographic signal, recurrence quantification analysis.", "license": "https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode", "name": "Distinguishing Innocent Murmurs from Murmurs caused by Aortic Stenosis by Recurrence Quantification Analysis", "publisher": {"@type": "Organization", "name": "Zenodo"}, "size": "460.11 KB", "url": "https://zenodo.org/records/1058303", "version": "2998"}</script> <script src="/static/dist/js/invenio-app-rdm-landing-page-theme.9b56690388e335810f04.js"></script> <script src="/static/dist/js/9945.e11a5a6ff50535c72070.js"></script> <script src="/static/dist/js/1357.4e237807ffba81b213b0.js"></script> <script src="/static/dist/js/1644.2b2007bc83e4beeabfaf.js"></script> <script src="/static/dist/js/8962.cfabe841decd009221fd.js"></script> <script src="/static/dist/js/9300.a81535ba51a38f1472fe.js"></script> <script src="/static/dist/js/9693.dac033d778162b60d96f.js"></script> <script src="/static/dist/js/invenio-app-rdm-landing-page.024f3c02bb324ddef007.js"></script> <script src="/static/dist/js/previewer_theme.77f20174699c7786038a.js"></script> <script src="/static/dist/js/zenodo-rdm-citations.f6ca22bc7712ee9b03f7.js"></script> <div class="ui container info message cookie-banner hidden"> <i class="close icon"></i> <div> <i aria-hidden="true" class="info icon"></i> <p class="inline">This site uses cookies.
