Originally formed as the Creation Science Foundation in Australia it is now headquartered near Cincinnati, Ohio with branches in six other countries. It is building a large <a rel="external" href= "http://www.answersingenesis.org/museum/" title="Creation Museum and Family Discovery Center">museum</a> to promote its views. It has a <a rel="external" href= "http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/about/faith.asp" title="Answers in Genesis's statement of faith" >statement of faith</a>, an extremely large collection of articles with a different lead article daily, and holds many <a rel="external" href= "http://www.answersingenesis.org/events/">events</a> around the United States. <cite>The Kentucky Post</cite> has a very good <a rel="external" href= "http://www.kypost.com/2002/10/26/genes102602.html">article on the activities, plans, and finances of AiG</a>.</p> <table summary=""> <tr> <td><img src="aiglogo.gif" width="135" height="66" alt= "" /></td> <td class="minus1">Answers in Genesis<br /> P.O. Also available in <a rel="external" href= "http://shop2.gospelcom.net/cgi-bin/AIGUS.storefront/en/product/80-1-009"> Spanish</a>.</li> <li><a rel="external" href= "http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/magazines/technical.asp"> <cite>TJ</cite></a> (formerly <cite>Creation Ex Nihilo Technical Journal</cite>) is published three times a year. Similar to the previous magazine except it deals with more technical issues.</li> <li><a rel="external" href= "http://www.answersingenesis.org/AnswersMedia/">Answers...With Ken Ham</a> is a 90 second audio program broadcast weekdays on many radio stations with copies available online. Occasional longer productions can be found at the previous link as well.</li> </ul> </div> <p><b>Update</b> (March 4, 2006): There has been a <a rel="external" href="http://lippard.blogspot.com/2006/03/answers-in-genesis-schism-us-group.html"> schism</a> at AiG. The American branch broke away from AiG international claiming it did not want to be "subject to an international representative system of checks/balances/peer review involving all the other offices bearing the same 'brand name'." The branches from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and South Africa have renamed themselves <a rel="external" href="http://www.creationontheweb.com/">Creation Ministries International</a> (CMI). After the schism, AiG <a rel="external" href="http://home.austarnet.com.au/stear/aig_integrity_slipping.htm">removed</a> an article attacking Kent Hovind of <a href="#cse">Creation Science Evangelism</a> while CMI <a rel="external" href="http://www.creationontheweb.com/content/view/2571/">posted the article</a>. CMI owns <cite>Creation</cite> and <cite>TJ</cite> which has been renamed <a rel="external" href="http://www.creationontheweb.com/content/view/3873/"><cite>Journal of Creation</cite></a>. Answers in Genesis is introducing a <a rel="external" href="http://www.answersingenesis.org/docs2006/0216newmag.asp"> new magazine</a> called <cite>Creation Answers</cite>.</p> <hr /> <h3 class="plus1">Discovery Institute</h3> <div class="indent"> <p>The <a rel="external" href="http://www.discovery.org/">Discovery Institute</a> (<acronym title="Discovery Institute">DI</acronym>) is a conservative think tank based in Seattle, Washington. It is the organization behind many of the recent attempts to include "intelligent design" or the "evidence" against evolution in science instruction. <a rel="external" href="http://www.discovery.org/csc/">The Center for Science and Culture</a> is the part of the DI that attacks evolutionary biology and the use of naturalism in science. The exact positions of its <a rel="external" href= "http://www.discovery.org/csc/fellows/index.php">fellows</a> vary from young-earthers to those who accept common descent with God taking a very active role in guiding evolution. Voting <a rel="external" href= "http://www.creationresearch.org/membership.htm">members</a> of the CRS must have at least a master's degree in science and subscribe to a <a rel="external" href= "http://www.creationresearch.org/stmnt_of_belief.htm">statement of belief</a>. Non-members can subscribe.</li> <li><a rel="external" href= "http://www.creationresearch.org/matters.html"><cite>Creation Matters</cite></a> is a bimonthly newsletter of the CRS.</li> </ul> </div> <hr /> <h3 class="plus1"><a id="cse" name="cse"></a>Creation Science Evangelism</h3> <div class="indent"> <p><a rel="external" href="http://www.drdino.com">Creation Science Evangelism</a> is the organization of <a href="/faqs/hovind/">Kent Hovind</a> who calls himself "Dr. Dino." Hovind is often considered to be a quack even in young-earth creationist circles though he has a large following. He is famous for an "<a rel="external" href= "http://www.drdino.com/Ministry/250k/index.jsp">offer</a>" to pay $250,000 to anyone who can prove evolution.
